It's incredible how little people know about the reality of game development and why it takes so much time. Programming is important, but visuals / feel / concept / gameplay / logic is where the wild amount of hours go.

Epic's Disney universe will launch as its own game, not just as another #Fortnite mode, an executive shared back in 2024 📝 While Epic has used the term "game" to describe Fortnite spin-off modes like Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival before, the executive's wording strongly suggested the Disney universe will actually launch as its own game - or games - separate from Fortnite, though Fortnite players will still be able to access content from the Disney universe, and vice versa. Talking to The Verge in 2024, former Epic Games VP Saxs Persson described that players would be able to access the Disney universe "through the Disney front door or the Fortnite front door," with their Locker and friend's list coming along for the ride. This is likely possible due to new networking features being introduced with Unreal Engine 6. You can also expect the remake of Rocket League in Unreal Engine 6 to function similarly. Been enjoying my time making a small and fun little game for Steam the last few weeks. It's been nice to take a break from Fornite Creative/UEFN and focus on something that I know will last for years rather than 1 month without breaking 😅

So I'm not actually leaving for UEFN for Steam entirely. Just saying that these dorks are what made Fortnite Creative into the dumpster fire it currently is. I still think this platform can get better eventually when UE6 comes out and if they can separate it from Fortnite BR...

btw you can access the textures by using the reference viewer on whatever weapon asset you want You just copy the asset path of the texture and shift paste into an image field It's kinda annoying, and you can't use them as Verse Assets anyway
