It’s been two years since Lauren Murphy passed away, after a cancer battle. In that time, her husband Antony set out to raise money to help 10 nursing students find their feet in the hospital that gave so much to them while she was sick: stuff.co.nz/nz-news/35020282…

Efeso really did talk about his family whenever he got the chance. When I interviewed him about his decision to stand for the Greens he said he was driven by the hope of making a better world for his girls. Just so sad

My brilliant Dad is gone, after a 14-month battle with cancer and 3 weeks in hospice. He was 67. He was the most passionate, alive person I’ve ever met, so in his memory I want to encourage anyone who reads this to always seize life & do the things that truly bring you joy.

For Steve, that was listening to music, having a boogie, watching sport (come on you Spurs!!), playing golf, driving his TR6 and being with his whānau and friends. Always tell the people you love that you love them: he told us everyday 🤍 Laugh loudly, sing, and make noise!

We strongly recommend people with COVID continue to isolate for at least five days – even if they only have mild symptoms. This means you should not go to work or school.

I've been a doctor for over 20 years. As a new graduate in the early 2000s at Middlemore, it took a long time for us to figure out why patients were being readmitted when they'd been discharged with antibiotics for pneumonia or medication for heart failure. Turned out that 1/

After carefully considering the advice of the Duty Controller I have decided to declare a precautionary State of Local Emergency. The decision is based on the lessons we learnt from the Anniversary Auckland floods.
