Back in Austin! Probably my favourite US city. Only been here 24 hours and already been to three founder meetups. The perfect energy to lock in and scale Senja.

This is elite build in public $25,000,000 ARR and still sharing deeply insightful and thoughtful comments as replies on X

I think Stripe MRR going up is a huge accomplishment and still very hard even with AI. That means you've created something valuable with product/market fit. Enjoy it, there are plenty of people building stuff with prompts that aren't finding revenue growth. For me personally, I'm enjoying the product strategy, company building, culture crafting and long term growth and differentiation challenge these days. I want to see how far I can take Buffer remaining independent / no more funding, building something generous and delightful, creating a workplace that's fun to be part of and where everyone is rewarded.

This is actually a disadvantage 😂 The archetype bootstrapped entrepreneur is neurodivergent, carrying trauma, and has mummy or daddy issues These are the things that make you work a 80 hour week when everyone else is at the beach

the greatest unfair advantage that i have is that my mom has always believed in me.

Day 2/5 of my trial with Senja was eventful, creative and ... a little stinky tho, but that's on me 🧅😌

The best marketing doesn't scale And I am looking for examples Who on is X is doing things that don't scale - like running meetups, posting swag, or just having a coffee with customers? Would love to see them!

I'm taking a MASSIVE marketing bet Instead of marketing Senja with AI, I'm going the other way I've hired Ana to send voice notes to customers, run webinars, launch features, attend events, and do things that don't scale Here's how @startupwithana's first trial day went In a world where everyone is 100x marketing with AI, we're trying the opposite What do you think? #buildinpublic
Day 1/5 of my @SenjaHQ trial was productive, still a lot to learn, and a lot to prove but feeling confident 🙏🏼 Here is an update…if you arent already stalking me on other socials 😌

My ex cofounder is still DOMINATING our product roadmap Anything he suggests gets listed on @linear [and tagged Wilson] Partly to prove to him I've still got it🕺 And partly because he has some of the best product thinking out there Thanks @euboid

There's #buildinpublic and then there's THIS Ana is currently in her trial period as our new marketer She asked if she could share her experience with the BiP community I was unsure because trials are there to find out if you're a good fit and don't guarantee you'll be working together But I've also done BiP with radical honesty and oppeness, and Ana should be able to do the same What do you think?
Told myself I didn't need an X account, also told myself I wasn't open to work and yet here we are... I'm terrible at hellos, so I'll let this video introduce me. hiiiii X p.s. follow for updates... or the chaos that follows (tbd)

Users from ads generally pay more and churn less. They are an overall better, more healthy type of users. The catch is: They are significantly harder to convert. But it's actually a good thing. It humbles you in the best way possible. When you turn away from this tiny creator bubble on Twitter/LinkedIn/YouTube and start pointing at total strangers out there - real users, with real businesses, and a real problem to solve, who don't care how many followers you have or how much ass you're shaking on social - you'll learn a lot about how strong your positioning is, how well your landing page actually converts, how good your product truly is. I know many creators here claim that "ads don't work" - but it's mostly a symptom that their business is weak. Either poorly positioned or just not a very competitive/appealing product. One solution is to keep shaking ass, of course. And that's fine - but if you want a more mature business, I suggest start running ads, cold calling, or cold emailing people. Get the experience of selling to total strangers, not fans.

This is how collected 100s of customer videos We setup a Zap to invite customers to leave a testimonial 2 hours after they upgraded Now, we've built a native @stripe integration Connect Stripe, set the rules, and we'll automate testimonial invites while you sleep
May 29
STOP asking for testimonials manually Instead, send an invite at the PERFECT time by connecting your @stripe account Automatic testimonial invites are now live on Senja Here's how they work:

I'm taking a MASSIVE marketing bet Instead of marketing Senja with AI, I'm going the other way I've hired a full time yapper to send voice notes to customers, run webinars, launch features, attend events, and do things that don't scale This is a person with a big personality who just wants to chat with and coach our customers In a world where everyone is 100x marketing with AI, I am trying the opposite What do you think? #buildinpublic

I got scammed in Austin After paying with Apple Pay for a drink, I saw the staff member add a $10 tip, sign as me and decline the receipt I confronted them in the moment but they denied it I am trying to get @Wise to investigate it, but they're asking for evidence, which I don't have What exactly can I do here? I don't care about the tip, and would've left one, I just cannot stand the dishonesty

Update: spoke to venue owner. He's pulling the video footage and records from the terminal and going to get back to me. He is taking it extremely seriously.
