POV: To find out how your brand is doing costs more than your house and takes longer than a pregnancy. The real version isn't funny when it's your budget. @timelapsio does continuous brand tracking without the wait or the ransom note. As for the acting - I won’t quit my day job.

Today, we’re introducing Timelaps: brand tracking for modern marketers. After 20 years designing brand trackers for the world's biggest brands, we’ve built the one I always wished existed. Fast. Continuous. Research-grade. Priced like SaaS. @timelapsio @harryzhangs
Today, we’re announcing Timelaps.Ā  Because it’s clear that brand building is back, but brand tracking isn’t ready. AI has commoditized the "how." When anyone can generate a high-quality ad or a functional product in seconds, creation is no longer your moat. Your brand is. It can’t be done in a prompt. And you can’t deepfake mindshare and preference.Ā  That’s why we’re betting on the next generation of brand builders.Ā  But they face a huge obstacle knowing if their work is effective. Because brand tracking is stuck in 1998. It costs six figures. It takes three months. It arrives as a slide deck that gathers dust. So their options are to pay and wait, or guess. We’re building Timelaps to change that. We’re bringing research-grade brand intelligence to the challenger brands, the startups, and the creators who have been "flying blind" for years. And we’re giving enterprises agency-level tracking without the agency-level price and wait. • Continuous: Always-on data, not quarterly waves. • Credible: Built on the science of brand building. Designed by tracking experts. • Accessible: Finally, brand tracking that doesn't require a Fortune 500 budget. The "Brand Era" is back. Timelaps is the scoreboard.

While writing my book I learned this lesson: you can’t edit what doesn’t exist. Same goes for building a business. Start with the shitty first draft.

Been deep-diving AI in market research for the past 3 months—100s of hrs of interviews, reports, company lists. Happy to share what I’ve learned (and the report out soon) with anyone curious. AMA.

Excited to share that I’ll be joining ODF26 in San Francisco starting this week! @joinodf is a community of builders that has already helped launch companies that have raised over $2B in funding. Can't wait to be back in builder mode alongside other inspiring founders.

4. Know when to quit. William Zinzer said of ending a piece of writing: ā€œwhen you’re ready to stop, stop. If you have presented all the facts and made the point you want to make, look for the nearest exit.ā€ The same goes for entrepreneurs.

BONUS: and actually, the most important. If you aren’t going it alone, choose a business partner you actually enjoy spending time with. Getting married to them is optional (but it worked out for us).
