The exclusion of Dinesh Gundu Rao @dineshgrao from the State Cabinet is puzzling. Dinesh is a front-ranking leader of Karnataka Congress — a twice Minister, six-time MLA who has never lost an election, former President of Karnataka Congress, and the Brahmin face of the party — yet he has been left out. Strangely, neither the AICC nor the government has any answer to offer. Will he be given something else?

Extremely wrong and dangerous to spread a notion that Siddaramayya is dissed by Brahmins mainly because of his caste. The affront to Siddaramayya is more ideological. An average Brahmin's ideology is unfortunately shaped by sangh and BJP politics. Very few take a divergent view.
