My brother taught me to do the same. In part because of that post-credit joke in Ferris Beuller (before Marvel made it cool) but more so because it takes every single person on that credit roll to make that movie happen, the ones at the end as much as the ones at the top.

Wow- I didn't realize that July 13th is both the anniversary of the 1863 Draft Riots AND the 1977 New York City blackout.
These are both FOUNDATIONAL events in Black New York history. So fascinating to think, while walking around in the July heat, how much can change in a day.

On this day in 1977 the New York City blackout brought an evening of vandalism and arson to many Brooklyn neighborhoods, including Bushwick, where an unknown photographer captured this scene the following day.

A way to understand what just happened with Roberts and Kav in the Voting Rights Case is that it's not going to change much in terms of Alabama's racist maps. This cost them little.
The *victory* is that these fools could have straight killed Section 2 of the VRA, but didn't.
