This New York Times piece is worth your time. Here’s what is happening, as simply as I can put it. Back in January, Trump sued the IRS, an agency he controls, demanding $10 billion over the leak of his tax returns a number of years ago. IRS lawyers did their jobs. They wrote a memo laying out the defenses that could beat the suit, including the fact that Trump filed too late. His own lawyer was in court when the leaker pleaded guilty in October 2023, more than two years before Trump sued. The Justice Department never showed up to court. Never argued back. Never used the defenses sitting on their desk. The judge got suspicious and ordered both sides to explain whether they were actually opposing each other or just colluding. The day before that brief was due, Trump dropped the suit. Same day, his Justice Department announced a $1.776 billion taxpayer-funded “anti-weaponization fund.”  Trump gets a formal apology. The IRS agrees to drop any audits of him and his family, even though a 2024 Times report found a loss in an ongoing audit could cost him over $100 million. The acting Attorney General, Trump’s former criminal defense attorney, picks the five commissioners who decide who gets paid. Trump can fire any of them. Proud Boys and Oath Keepers are not ruled out. This is the most corrupt thing I’ve ever seen from an American president. Where in the hell are my Republican colleagues? nytimes.com/2026/05/19/admin…

🚨BREAKING: Republicans just voted AGAINST my amendment to stop Trump's $1.8 billion slush fund from bailing out the convicted felons who assaulted cops on January 6th. You read that right. They blocked us from even debating the issue on the House floor. Beyond shameful.

The President is now exempt from our tax laws while everyone else has to obey them. Got it. It's just mind blowing that is what's happening in America.
FLASH: DOJ expands settlement in Trump-IRS leak suit to cover audits of all tax returns filed by Trump, family members, companies and trusts. Waiver of IRS' claims contained in addendum signed by AAG Blanche that was not in agreement released Monday politico.com/news/2026/05/19…

You could start by walking down the hall. See why your boss keeps pardoning people convicted of money laundering, wire fraud, tax evasion, and securities fraud.

Vance: There is a simple principle I have: If you are committing fraud against the American people you ought to go to prison. If you are a public official not fighting against fraud, you ought to have your money taken away because you should not be able to steal from all of you and give it to fraudsters.

There is no way the republicans would be anything less that outraged if Obama had taken almost $2 billion of taxpayer dollars and given it to people he pardoned for trying to steal an election. Every republican in congress who doesn’t speak up and prevent this is complicit

The worst part of Covid was that 20 million people died
One of the worst parts of COVID was watching Americans surrender their God-given freedoms to bureaucrats who were wrong about everything.

I hate all gerrymandering and it should be illegal. Full stop - it's awful when democrats do it, it's awful when republicans do it. American citizens have their voices and representation robbed of them.

So during my time in the Air Force, I was a resource advisor at the 18RS at Creech AFB, responsible for the squadron’ funds, travel costs, DTS, etc. Let's do the math on what this 30-member "official" trip is costing you: ✈️ Military C-40 Flights: Operating a military 737 costs roughly $15,000 to $20,000 per flight hour. A round trip to Europe? Easily $200,000 just in jet fuel and flight time. 🏨 Lodging & Meals: Standard government per diem rates in the UK range from $300 to over $500 a day. Multiply that by 30 politicians plus dozens of accompanying staffers for a week. That’s $150,000 just for hotels and food. 🚔 Security & Logistics: State Department security, local police coordination, motorcades, and securing tourist spots. Conservatively, American taxpayers are footing a $500,000 to $1 MILLION bill so these politicians can play bagpipes at Edinburgh Castle during a government shutdown. I gave 25 years to this country. I'm told "I can't help that." They give themselves a million-dollar vacation. Absolutely sickening. Accountability matters. #VeteranCare #Accountability #DoBetter #VeteranSuicideAwareness #USAF #ArmyVet #TaxpayerMoney

A bill passed the Senate last night 100-0 to fund TSA, the Coast Guard and FEMA. If Speaker Johnson called it for a vote it would pass easily. But he won’t do that. Because Trump has ordered him to keep TSA shut down and keep the chaos. Pure incompetence.
