FYI, the moon hasn't disappeared. It orbits the earth about every 27 days, so sometime you will not see it at night and sometime you will see it in the day. This happens every single month with no exception.
Every single night at the same hour, the moon will appear further east than the night before.
I can't believe this has to be said.
