To me he looked Irish with his red nose, rosy cheeks, and fiery temper but apparently he was 100% Anglo. Anyway, he always seemed a bit tipsy - which I liked. Grew up a Cardinals fan in Oklahoma. La Russa was great but Bobby Cox was better and I wished he managed my team. RIP
