While #ElonMusk reached a $1 trillion fortune, it raises urgent worries about power concentration and economic fairness. We need systemic change for a more equitable distribution of wealth.

Today, Elon Musk became the world’s first trillionaire. 
It's a ridiculous amount of money for one person to be sitting on and comes as countless Americans are struggling to afford food, housing, and health care.   We need to tax wealth – immediately.

Elon Musk is now the world’s first trillionaire. He spent nearly $300 million to put Trump back in the White House. Since then, his companies have benefited from billions in taxpayer-funded contracts and subsidies. Meanwhile, SNAP cuts have left millions of Americans struggling to put food on the table. That’s not prosperity. That’s oligarchy.

Reason #1,000,000,000,000 why we should tax the rich.

Today, Elon Musk, a trillionaire, pays the same amount into Social Security as someone making $184,500. If we end that absurdity and lift the cap on taxable income, we can make Social Security solvent for 75 years and expand benefits by $2,400. My Social Security bill does that.

Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire. The typical American household would have to work more than 11 MILLION years to make Elon Musk's level of wealth. We need a wealth tax.

Child labor is not an isolated problem; it’s the brutal symptom of systemic failure and deep-rooted #poverty. When families cannot survive, #childhood is stolen to feed the cycle of #inequality. We're failing our most vulnerable, and the time for half-measures is over.

Football teaches us that no one wins alone. We all need a team, inside and outside the stadium. #WorldCup2026

If we want a more #equal world, we need more than policies, we need #dialogue. When people and societies speak to each other with respect, they create space for empathy and change. #DialogueAmongCivilizations

The only dangerous minority is the rich!

What has happened at the #2026WorldCup over the last 48 hours: • Swiss footballer Embolo's visa was put under review and he was only able to join his team days later. • Iraqi national team player Aymen Hussein was held for questioning for nearly 7 hours upon entering the United States. • The Iranian national team spent days dealing with visa procedures at the U.S. Consulate in Türkiye. The U.S. only allowed them entry on match days. Fifteen members of the delegation were denied visas. • Omar Abdulkadir Artan, named CAF's Best African Referee of 2025, was denied a visa. Despite travelling to the U.S. with a diplomatic passport, he was refused entry and sent back. FIFA announced that he will not be able to officiate at the tournament. • The South African national team arrived in the United States much later than planned because part of the delegation was not granted visas. • Members of the Senegal national team staff were forced to remove their shoes and subjected to lengthy searches, sparking accusations of racism. • The Uzbekistan national team was searched with bomb-sniffing dogs and the footage went viral in international media. • Some Scottish supporters, despite being eligible to enter the U.S. visa-free under the ESTA programme, had their travel authorisations revoked just days before departure. • Many supporters who had already bought tickets and booked accommodation had their visa applications rejected, resulting in financial losses.

Tax the rich!

Get this. The House just passed an air safety bill. The billionaires snuck in a provision to STOP state and local tax officials from tracking private jets. They'll get to fly private and pay NO taxes. This is a handout to the super wealthy—and we're going to pay for it.

#Poverty and #WealthInequality are the root causes of many social and economic crises. By focusing on supportive policies, fair #taxation, and investing in education and public health, we can build a future with more wealth for everyone.

On #WorldFoodSafetyDay, we should remember that unequal #income, unstable supply chains, and weak systems make safe food harder to reach for millions of people.
