I was honored to be invited to the 2026 National Drug Control Strategy Summit at the White House, hosted by @ONDCP.
The passion and dedication in that room was impressive led by @DrugCzar47. People from all walks of life, law enforcement, public health, community leaders, policymakers, faith leaders came together with one goal: saving lives. The panel discussions were outstanding with substantial experience across all areas.
Here is what I keep coming back to: we will never solve this crisis by focusing only on the supply side. Yes, we must aggressively go after the cartels and the criminal networks flooding our streets with deadly synthetic drugs. But we have to bring that same fire and urgency to the demand side. Prevention, mandatory education in the schools, treatment, and recovery is a must. We also need major social media influencers to helps spread the critical messages.
We need a WHOLE OF AMERICA approach. Every family, every community, every sector working together.
Thank you ONDCP for the invitation and for bringing so many great people to the table.

bust a dealer, local od rates go up 5x in the scramble of disrupted supply. new potency flavors impacting people in withdrawal. not ideal.
incarcerate more drug users? well you cant warehouse them forever and as soon as theyre out theyre going right back. with no protective opioid tolerance. suboptimal. 50x 100x 200x it varies by location but astronomically more likely to overdose than genpop.
same game with useless addiction medicine, after the party (rehab inpatient stay) its the afterparty (relapse. 90% of em will. and. well you get the picture)
