Our team in India recently helped local police intercept a vehicle transporting dogs destined for the dog meat trade. The dogs were bound inside sacks and tied to the roof of a vehicle; their mouths tightly secured with rope to silence them. Some were possibly stolen pets; others were snatched from the streets. These animals have endured immense suffering, but thanks to quick action and help from our local partners, Anajoree, Sporsho and Daryai Ghoda, they are safe and receiving care.
