Heya, I recently created a Discord server for artists (and other creatives as well) to hang out, and share useful resources. Feel free to join, and invite friends if you'd like. P.S: It's NSFW friendly, just in dedicated channels. discord.gg/NAWHMehRmP #artmoots

I know we in the US are having troubles as always, but uh... fellow people in the UK, you guys alright over there?

Damn imagine getting smoked like this by one of the most neutral, positive people on the internet.

Since you don’t want to have fun, we can be 100% serious like you. There are so many financial tools he could use to do exactly what I wrote above in a real world scenario. Loans against shares, phased sales, whatever. He can access a huge amount of cash without selling all his shares at once.

They don't need to try, anyone worth respect was already against them from the beginning. @OpenAI kiss my ass.

With all the news going around its imperative that everyone remembers the government should have a healthy fear of its people. If elected officials cannot be ousted with relative ease when they are deemed to not be acting on behalf of those they represent, it teeters on tyranny.

First it was “Generative AI will help with menial tasks” Now it’s “We used AI for concepts art, deleted them, and the finished product was by human creatives” Soon it’ll be “We used AI in place of artists, animators, actors, writers, etc to cut down on development costs”
I am SO TIRED of every video game company coming out with the same corners cut, the same exact excuse. Divinity 3 already did this, but now everyone is claiming the same thing too. You have rot at the roots, your very foundation is wrought with ruin. This is not human-created

Using AI in the development of a game, and then replacing the assets before release is the evil corporate form of your sibling doing the "im not touching you". They purposefully ignore the real issue, and appeal to technicality to avoid blame.

McDonald's is planning to replace drive-thru attendants with an AI model named Archy. They were able to take 90% of orders without human interaction in a recent test, and they're preparing to roll it out for every McDonald's in the U.S.

Anyone else notice that these AI companies ONLY ever give warnings to do some sort of reverse psychology glazing of themselves? And its always utter hogwash, like recently when they said to freeze AI "progress" to avoid singularity. Corporate posturing at its finest, AKA lies.

Zero. It should be zero acres. Data centers, and all modern forms (post 2020) of generative AI should be outlawed. Humanity will never be responsible enough for this technology; governments cannot be trusted with it, citizens are harmed by it, and the Earth is destroyed with it.
Celebrity investor Kevin O’Leary says that he is “going to have to” slim down a planned 40,000-acre AI data center campus in the face of rising political pushback, including from Utah’s state leadership. nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/k…

Alrighty then. In that case, I'm going to leverage my right as a consumer and say no thanks.

At work today a rep says theyre being forced to use AI on pics of our shelves they take to organize their product. She explains that it doesnt work, she doesnt trust it, her peers hate it, but they act like that they like it in meetings. This is the majority of AI "supporters".

While writing that, another person came in who needed me to charge his phone for a sec to check his bank app. In that time he also remarked that he hates/distrusts AI, and fears our future because of it. In all my time working Ive met ONE AI supporter, but countless detractors.

No outcome of this situation would've brought me any joy. I do not dislike Jorge, just his actions, and it sucks to see that people were going way farther than just criticizing him. I'm glad to see him reconsider though, and I hope it's out of sincerity, and not just placation.
‘El Tigre' co-creator Jorge R. Gutierrez has dropped out of Amazon’s new GenAI program after backlash “I will not be making a Punky Duck series. Actions speak louder than words” “My sincerest apology to those I upset. I promise to do better moving forward”
