UM WalkSafe Program hosted its 20th Anniversary Walk to School Day event at Ben Sheppard Elementary School. TPO Deputy Director of Administration, Zainab Salim, provided an inspirational message promoting safe & active walking practices.

The images show students holding signs and certificates, walking together outdoors, and participating in safety-themed activities. Teachers, staff, and community partners, including Miami-Dade T.P.O. staff, law enforcement and a sports mascot, join the celebration. The school entrance is decorated with balloons, banners, and a rainbow appears over the building, highlighting the festive atmosphere promoting safe and active travel to school.
