Apple has quietly halted App Store updates for popular AI "vibe-coding" applications most notably the $9 billion startup Replit and mobile app builder Vibecode.
After months of pushback, Apple is reportedly demanding major UX changes.
Replit is being asked to force its generated app previews to open in an external web browser rather than natively inside its app.
Vibecode was told it must completely remove the ability to generate software specifically for Apple devices.
Apple seems to be rejecting more apps lately, especially AI wrapper apps.
My AI app got rejected without any clear reason.
I resubmitted without changing anything — and it got approved.
What’s going on with App Review?
In my case, they said my paid agreement wasn’t compliant — it was already approved.
I rechecked, resubmitted, and suddenly the app was accepted.
Feels like AI wrapper apps are getting extra treatment😂
Hey folks 👋
If you’re getting good trial sign-ups but struggling to convert them into paying users… where do you think the problem usually lies? 🤔
Onboarding? Value prop? Paywall?
Curious to hear your insights from the trenches.

Hey indie devs,
I promoted my app on AppAdvice and then got this email from Apple about possible DPLA violations 😬
Has anyone faced something like this, especially when offering lifetime access?
Do you think my dev account is at risk?

Guys, need your input.
Do you think gamification works for every type of app?
I’ve been researching how it boosts engagement, drives daily returns, and revenue growth.
Have you tried adding gamification to your app?"

Hey indie devs, have you tried AppAdvice to boost downloads?
I’ve researched, and it seems to help many apps.
What are your thoughts?
My primary goal is to obtain ratings & reviews to aid in ASO ranking.

💡 Quick Tips for New Indie Devs:
• Don’t take feedback on your app idea from friends.
Most won’t give you honest feedback—they just want to support you. Focus on feedback from people who pay for and use your app.
• Don’t be afraid to charge for your app.
Users often ask for free things, but they wouldn’t work for free themselves. Respect your time and value.
• Show the paywall early.
Many users won’t reach it otherwise and may never discover your app’s PRO features.
• Don’t reinvent the wheel with custom UI.
Use native iOS components wherever possible—users are already familiar with them.
• Prompt for ratings and reviews after users complete a meaningful task.
This helps with ASO and drives downloads.
• UX > UI.
Don’t make users think about how to use your app. A beautiful interface doesn't guarantee a good experience.
• Launch version 1 as soon as possible.
Your app will never be perfect. Shipping early helps validate your idea and saves you time and effort.
• Don’t hesitate to implement subscriptions—even if your app works offline and has no backend costs.
You need recurring revenue, and most apps already use subscriptions.
• Don’t neglect design.
You only get one chance to make a first impression.
As an indie developer, one of the hardest things is getting reviews & ratings.
They’re so important for growth.
What’s the best way you’ve found to get ratings and reviews for your app without annoying users?

Day 44 of building
Today was all about bug fixes and code refactoring.
Didn’t add new features, but cleaning up the code is part of the process—and part of learning.

Day 43 of building
Spent the day working with PDFKit — adding features to let users select and edit text directly in PDFs.
I am also exploring additional editing options to make the experience smoother.

As a developer, I use AI a lot.
But sometimes I wonder — if I can’t code without it, am I really a developer? 🤔
What do you think? Can heavy reliance on AI tools hurt our skills?

To be honest, some days it’s really hard to stay consistent.
Procrastination creeps in, and focus disappears.
How do you stay focused and avoid distractions while coding?

Day 42 of building
Working on a custom camera view using AVFoundation Vision today.
Also started integrating OCR to scan text from documents.
A bit challenging, but really fun to build!
