BITMAP starts feeling very different once you go far enough down the rabbit hole.. If reality is some kind of simulation, then the world itself is likely just layered state changes.. every moment reacting to the previous one, creating an endlessly evolving environment built from memory and time. Bitcoin blocks mirror that structure almost perfectly. Each block is a permanent recorded state of energy, movement, coordination, and human activity frozen in time forever. Bitmap turns those historical states into actual digital environments builders can expand on top of. In a weird way, it feels less like NFTs and more like the early architecture of a parallel simulated reality forming directly from immutable history.

Update on the Bitoshi Index... Ord is sync'd, my Bitmap Indexer is mostly working, just tightening the logic and testing the data against other sources. The tool compares each individual ID between multiple data sources. I'm generating a merkle tree root when testing ID ranges to give me a comparison proof, so I don't need to manually check each individual district, and I don't have to trust the comparison tool. Doing this helped me find some bugs in my data logic that I'm now fixing. Once I've finished this, I can move onto some fun things, and my first main goal is to build the realtime Signal indexer. Currently the Signal is kind of dead on arrival because I don't have a realtime data source. But very soon I will. And the index will do much more than Signal. I'm going to index Distict Toshi sizes based on Block tx output values ( fees). This will give us a data source for perfect District sizes. With this, I can build the Bitmap map type that uses exact values. I also intend to create a realtime worldtree of Bitmap, and a super secret Bitcoin native project that I believe will be useful for many reasons. ⚙️ I've got lots in the works, it's just a matter of keeping it all straight in my head, putting horses before carts.

We'll see it play out. Right now the NAT guys have reason to celebrate because of miner "adoption" and current value. Even if it's nowhere near a viable competitor to miner fees, at least there is enough interest to set a price. Now they just have to sustain that demand forever.

Honestly the Dmt-Nat guys are insufferable. They mean well. They represent the cream of the crop of nerds in the space. Unfortunately, they are waaaaay too far in the weeds. It is all too technical, too "far out" for ordinary plebs, too niche within a niche. Just buy Ordi.

I have my criticisms for NAT but it has much more going for it than Ordi.

Currently writing a signal module for termina.land, and a more robust external index for signal.bitmap.land. Termina module will be ready for block 945,000 onwards. External index may take slightly longer, but still before the first signal count at 947,520 . They will work differently, here's the details: Termina: this module allows you to spot check any hood within the OCI range (or import your own bitmap data for further ranges). It's a manual check for hood seat periods, so should be thought of as an on-chain fallback in case centralized indexers go down. Signal: this indexer will be run on my node and log all results block-by-block on the server in realtime. This will provide the best user experience as it is immediate. The Termina module will be released first, before block 945,000, as this is the most important infrastructure for not relying on centralized indexers, but it will be slow and only really useful to check individual hoods, not the whole. The Signal indexer will come soon after, but may not be ready for 945,000 as my node is still sync'ing. It's centralized, and subject to my capacity to run it. I'm aiming to have this all ready by the 21st April. Whilst the signal begins at block 945,000, the first Seat count will happen on block 947,520, which is approximately 24th April. So, if all goes to plan, both the Termina fallback module and Signal Indexer will be live by the time the first signal vote takes place. One final note, I will reinscribe the signal standard to include the "defer" command, which allows district owners to defer their signal votes to parcel holders of that district.

earlier today we announced the beginning of a really important chapter in @darkresearchai's journey: our open source work. like any new thing, it's starting out small, but i really hope we can grow our open source contributions to be much larger - both with projects we launch and with others' work our team contributes to. our open source work will generally trend with what we work on internally, and right now that's consumer-facing app experiences for products built on what i continue to see as three important pillars for future consumer experiences: • mobile native (still #1 interface) • crypto rails (everything finance) • AI native (intelligence dynamic ux) honestly right now the work doesn't feel very glamorous - it's a lot of trying to get the base scaffolding under our feet and stabilizing things. but this tells me we're early - few people are thinking this deeply about how all these technology primitives are going to evolve consumer experiences and hence few recognize the software tooling gaps that exist to build them easily (particularly for mobile, tooling is very sparse in the mobile dev world right now and we've only gotten as far as RN). it's hard to build good products if your product interfaces all suck, so i'd like to get an organizational foundation for interfaces in our arsenal that we can leverage to continue to reach consumers while investing more into our backend infrastructure and research work. i'm particularly excited for the research we're starting to do around training foundational models that understand crypto rails natively - there's a massive dataset to train on, on-chain is clearly the venue for future agent activity (shoutouts: @CoinbaseDev for x402 and @multisig for their on-chain policies that will support secure background agents), and i don't see too many people thinking about the value of a generic model that has zero-shot capabilities to perform actions on-chain (simply put: right now we don't really have LMs that understand how to operate on a blockchain intuitively, and we think there's value in building ones that do). finally: shoutout to @merit_systems for powering our open source funding rails!

🚀 Bitcoin – Digital Gold | 🟧 Bitmap – Digital Land 🌍 There are 120 million millionaires in the world. Yet only 21 million BTC will ever exist. And only 6.92 million 🟧 Bitmaps can ever be owned. Now imagine this — every millionaire racing to own even 1 Bitcoin or 1 piece of 🟧 digital land. Not everyone will make it. Scarcity isn’t a theory… it’s math. 🧠 Bitcoin gave us money sovereignty. 🟧 Bitmap is giving us digital territory. We’re not late — we’re standing at the genesis of the digital civilization. ⛓️ Imagine owning 🟧 land in cyberspace before the world realizes it’s real. We’re still early. 🕰️ #Bitcoin #Bitmap #DigitalGold #DigitalLand #WeAreEarly
