Does anyone still read blogs? After a hiatus of a few years, I'm ready to go back to reading more blogs and actually doing more blogging myself. I know some people say that blogging is dead. But I think we are seeing a resurgence. And I'm so fed up with endless short videos.

So proud of my daughter. Last weekend she sang at the Royal Albert Hall in London at her first BBC Proms with the Hallé Youth Choir in this beautiful piece by James MacMillan, and the TV cameras got a really great shot live on TV!

Is it normal that my son asks for a vessel of di-hydrogen monoxide to accompany his lunch each day? I think he's been enjoying his chemistry lessons a bit too much this year at school!

I'm not sure what to do about Twitter / X. I've been using it since 2006, soon after it launched. But now it feels like a ghost town. I think there have been some big improvements to it as a platform. And I enjoy it as a consumer of non-business stuff. But hardly any of my people are on X. They're all on other platforms such as Threads and LinkedIn. And I get so little engagement here. It will be interesting to see if I get any engagement on this post - lol! I currently subscribe to X Premium, but I think I'll probably stop that. I can't sustain using too many networks to engage. LinkedIn is a big priority this year. I'm getting a lot of fun and engagement on Threads at the moment (even though I don't think it's a great platform technically). At the end of the day, it's about the people, not the platform. Would be really interested if you're still using X and if you're going to prioritise it this year?

You can now officially broadcast to Instagram Live from desktop using 3rd party software like @ecammtweets, @streamyardapp or @Restreamio. @Instagram has rolled out Instagram Live Producer to everyone. It's a bit clunky, and you can't schedule your lives (you must go live immediately). But it's a start. To broadcast from your software, just grab your stream key and select "RTMP", and you'll be on your way.
