Cryopreserved platelets can be stored for up to 2 yrs, compared to 7 days for liquid-stored platelets. This cost-effectiveness analysis found that cryopreserved platelets were costlier & less effective for managing bleeding in cardiac surgery.#CCRdownunderja.ma/4iQw6vm

Love this trial. Do you know how happy this will make ICU nurses? No more chasing the >4.5mEq/L target post cardiac surgery. Threshold of >3.6mEq/L is ok for patients, more cost effective and makes nurses happy. Win! Win! Win!
