i delete anything on kicad fab/doc layers on a footprint. same with courtyards. almost always garbage data anyway. geometer computes assembly projection directly from the 3d step models. Assembly data is created automagically and mathematically. github.com/wavenumber-eng/ge… kicad-cruncher then auto generates / orients the fab designators, marks pin 1/K/A1 and shows me NPTH and cutouts almost everything can auto computed from the 3d data for beautiful assy and fab drawings.

Why do we keep doing this to ourselves? I feel like everyone's losing the plot. USB does this too. Why?

Making a JTAG adapter for the alibaba FPGA. Could have repurposed ones I already have, or bought one, but where’s the fun in that? It’ll use a FT2232H, and a TXB0108 level shifter to the 1.8V provided by the fpga board

Parts just keep showing up This ROV frame arrived just 4 days after ordering. We hadn't even finished the electronics assembly before they showed up. *Candy was under the last part; they never miss the candy. Thanks @sendcutsend

Viterbi in action. Even with that much noise the Viterbi can find info in noise. Love science and dynamic programming

I am toying with OFDM using the Pluto clone and I can tell you its lot of fun. Managed to get the OFDM signal transmited and received. Video coming soon. Supports BPSK, QPSK, 16 QAM and 64 QAM with Veterbi decoder.

My babies are getting so smart, it's freaking me out. I was looking forward to using GA or bayesian optimisation to find a sweet set of parameters, but hand-tuning is giving scarily good results. I cant stop watching! (No global coordinator, all acting entirely on local cues)

This is the kind of FPGA project I always was interested in. Even as I am not a guitar player. Sound effect padal. Open source project. github.com/linkin-parks-bass…

OAK 4 CS now supports PTP synchronization. Sync multi-camera exposures over standard Ethernet. No FSYNC wiring, no daisy chains, no trigger cables across long distances. Just a shared clock distributed over the network. For multi-camera perception, distributed AI vision, and sensor fusion at scale. discuss.luxonis.com/blog/685…
