Hey @grok, if gender is a social construct then mustn't it be ontologically dependent on collective human practices, norms, language, institutions, and shared agreements? In other words a tranny doesn't get to pick their gender; rather, the rest of society picks it for them?

Cancer isn't defined by growth, it's defined as a corruption - where healthy cells are mutated and turned against the host that supports them. They become parasitic, leeching nutrience and eventually killing the host organism. Which economic system does this sound like to you?

California has a widespread and well known problem with selective prosecution. If you signal a favored class like "trans" the DA will cover for your misbehavior - or aggressively prosecute any opposition.
🚨🚨NO JUSTICE: Alameda County District Attorney's Office refuses to prosecute for assault and robbery. I just heard from Sharon Carney, the Deputy DA that the DA will not be arresting the man who attacked me and stole my phone and signs at a bike race in Livermore last September. Ms. Carney reasoned: “It's clear from this incident that he (Mr. Grady) believed his wife was being harassed so he stepped in to intervene. We don't believe that there's sufficient evidence here to prove a crime, beyond a reasonable doubt, to a jury of 12 people.” Insane.

The left won. The world's richest man is an electric vehicle manufacturer who is decarbonising the atmosphere while helping quadriplegics, restoring space travel, and making the internet and freedom of speech widely available across the globe. Unfortunately most of the people who identified as "left" were simply pathological grief merchants with oppositional defiance disorder. They build nothing. They stand for nothing.

Well at least I put Fable to good use while I had it, playing a game of zork. But we didn't even try zork2 yet
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

This implies an annual desistance rate of 2.3% per year. This implies that 30 years after entering a pediatric clinic, 50% of patients will no longer identify as trans. I would submit that this is a good argument for not doing any long-lasting interventions.
A new study of 445 adolescents treated at pediatric gender clinics in Canada found that after a mean 2.4 years, 94.6% still identified as trns. Of the 353 who started hormonal treatments, 1.1% discontinued them. jahonline.org/article/S1054-…

Claude has finished with a score of 350 and it even wrote me a little postmortem. He made saves but says he didn't use them.

“It’s couldn’t possibly be the hormones that are causing increased cognitive decline in trans patients – it’s got to be the transphobia!!” Emory used to be a decent school, too. 🤦‍♀️

The ennui everyone feels using agents to do their work is old hat for technical managers and architects of yesteryear.

This is truly shocking data out of Oregon. Between 2016 and 2023, nearly 1 in 100 insured children ages 8 to 17 received a gender dysphoria diagnosis. By age 17, around 1 in 240 insured girls were on testosterone and 1 in 630 boys were on estrogen.

We taught kids for decades that "the population is expanding exponentially" and now they can't update their priors. Population in the west has been sub-replacement since 1970 and has been sub-replacement worldwide for about 5 years.

The population is expanding exponentially and since my own father was born it has expanded at ridiculous rates, this is irrefutable. The world is in no danger of not replacing itself

These ladies aren't beating the allegations that they want to destroy the world (note, nowhere did I blame feminism for this. Big confused) x.com/i/status/2064296128024…

The birth rate is going down in Afghanistan too. You gonna blame feminism for that? The world will not end without humans. Most likely it will thrive. Also 8 billions is alot, has it occured to you nature is course correcting? Only cancer cells reproduce without limit.

Transgenderism as a framework for expressing familial and social discord. Without that it's just three gay dudes.
been sorta seeing two trans girlies and my dad was like “when do we get to meet them” to which i got to reply with “you cant even get my name right im not letting you insult other ppl too”

Having codex implement a wine-ish compat layer but for linux-on-linux and it did something very funny. It figured out that this library works in 99% of cases (linked against the newer incompatible library)

"Puberty blockers for kids are medically necessary" It lobotomizes them, by the way. Let me explain. Sex hormones are critical for brain development during puberty. The hypothalamus, amygdala, cortex, and everything that makes you "you" are all wired and sized under the influence of a prenatal testosterone surge (or lack thereof). This is why putting children on blockers makes their IQ drop and causes them to fall behind developmentally. The parts of the brain critical for emotional regulation, memory, and overall social stability are especially affected. GnRH agonists (blockers) decrease amygdala and hippocampal volume. These changes can't be reversed. Interestingly, smaller amygdala volumes also appear in PTSD, depression, and anxiety disorders. So they destroy a child's ability for emotional regulation and then blame people who are against it when they're neurotic or suicidal. This is all on top of permanent infertility, as it's essentially chemical castration, and it leads to an inability to ever feel pleasure. Puberty blockers are GnRH agonists/antagonists (Leuprolide/Lupron, triptorelin, goserelin). These are the same medications used for castrating sex offenders, for androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) in prostate cancer patients, and for treating precocious puberty in children. In both human and animal studies conducted on these other groups taking the exact same drugs, irreversible brain issues occurred, such as a large drop in IQ and an increased risk of dementia. Here are some studies: Three years after treatment, the group experienced a loss in both performance IQ and full-scale IQ, with a decline of 7 points in the latter. While the average loss of IQ points was 7, it is noteworthy that at least one patient in this study experienced a significant loss of 15 points or more. In animal studies, the results indicate that treatment with a GnRH antagonist/agonist has a detrimental impact on learning and the development of social behaviors and responses to stress in mammals. In male sheep, impairments in spatial memory associated with the treatment were not fully reversed following discontinuation of treatment. Significant effects of treatment were also evident on measures of brain structure, including overall volume, functional connectivity, and neuronal density. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/… Fifty-eight men starting ADT versus 84 prostate cancer controls plus 88 healthy men. Formal cognitive testing showed ADT patients were 70% more likely to have cognitive impairment at 6 months and more than twice as likely at 12 months. Men on GnRH analogues with or without anti-androgens showed declines in verbal memory, visuospatial function, and executive function within months; ADT patients had clinically significant drops in at least one domain. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1217… ADT is linked to worse visuomotor and visuospatial performance, verbal and visual memory deficits, and increased dementia/Alzheimer's risk (1.5–2.5 times in some large cohorts). pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/article… What's especially cruel about the last part is that, because trans ideology is learned and not innate, they literally forget they were ever "trans" when they get dementia. There are cases of them screaming at nurses "What did you do to my body?!" because the dementia causes them to forget the reason they ever even mutilated themselves in the first place. That's what you're dooming children to. Medically necessary my ass.

This is the reductive stereotype driven perspective at the heart of the trans cult. It cannot survive without hypersexualized fixations.
they just look like that

This is why 75% of trans-identifying children are girls.

Mower is now running like a champ but I no longer have a throttle cable. Instead I can just cram a toothpick in to keep the throttle in the right spot. It's fine.

This 64G USB stick writes data at a rate of 2.4G/hour. A little over 24 hours of non-stop writing to fill it up. With 128G RAM I have a pretty big file cache so it's going to take around 5 hours to flush the remaining 13G of dirty writes and unmount this drive. Cheap, but slow

When people ask "what do you mean the gay agenda is anti-family" this kind of whole cloth fabrication can be your answer.
This dad is actually more likely to beat his own children
