Herzlicher Empfang in #Berlin 🇩🇪 bei @AussenMinDE Johann Wadephul. Im Mittelpunkt unserer Gespräche standen die sicherheitspolitische Lage in Europa und die #OSZE im aktuellen Schweizer Vorsitzjahr, die Beziehungen🇨🇭🇪🇺 sowie die Entwicklungen in der #Ukraine und im Nahen Osten.

In a world marked by uncertainty and division, every new embassy sends an important message: #dialogue matters, cooperation matters, and #diplomacy has a future. 🇵🇦’s strengthened presence in #Switzerland reflects the friendship between our countries and our shared belief that bridges are more useful than walls.

A productive exchange with FM @Javierachapma in Bern today. We discussed regional developments in the Americas, maritime affairs, science diplomacy and ways to further strengthen #Swiss-#Panama cooperation. I was also pleased to formally hand over 🇨🇭’s instrument of accession to the Protocol on the permanent neutrality and operation of the #PanamaCanal, reaffirming our shared commitment to international law, #freedom of navigation and global trade.

À Bulle, j’ai rappelé aux milieux économiqus que les inquiétudes liées à la croissance démographique doivent être prises au sérieux. Mais l’initiative des «10 millions» apporte un faux remède aux défis migratoires et met directement en danger la voie bilatérale avec l’#Europe. Or l’ouverture est la clé du succès #suisse, et le marché de l’#UE est essentiel pour nos entreprises, nos emplois et notre prospérité. La🇨🇭doit avancer avec pragmatisme, pas se replier sur elle-même.

An der #SwissMedTech Generalversammlung in #Lugano habe ich betont: Wer die #Schweiz stärken will, darf sie nicht isolieren. In einer Welt der Machtpolitik braucht unser Land verlässliche Regeln, offene Märkte und stabile Beziehungen zu #Europa. Die #BilateralenIII sind deshalb mehr als Wirtschaftspolitik: Sie sind ein Bekenntnis zu Wohlstand, Sicherheit und Handlungsfähigkeit, gerade für eine innovative Branche wie #MedTech, die auf Marktzugang, Talente und Planungssicherheit angewiesen ist.

In occasione dell’incontro annuale con il @Cantone_Ticino, abbiamo discusso delle priorità condivise tra Confederazione e Cantone: #italianità e #plurilinguismo, relazioni con l’#Italia e questioni transfrontaliere, perequazione finanziaria, sviluppo ferroviario e preparativi della Ministeriale @OSCE di Lugano nel dicembre 2026. Il #Ticino non è una periferia della #Svizzera, ma uno dei suoi ponti strategici verso l’#Europa — politico, economico e culturale.
