Nearly $700,000 has been raised for Geffen Britton, a Jewish man who Confronted the Bondi Hannukah Killer While Unarmed!
Once Geffen's friends saw he was at the scene of the Hanukkah massacre, they immediately drove in to try to find him.
After searching Bondi Beach and not finding him, then his friends from there went from hospital to hospital searching for him.
Finally, he was found โ already in surgery with severe gunshot wounds. He is now in a coma.
"Gefen made the decision to put himself at risk to save the lives of others. As Ahmad Al-Ahmad heroically jumped on the terrorist, Gefen ran in alongside to confront him. But, he was shot, fell to the ground, and was shot again."
Now in the ICU, Gefenโs put his own life at risk with his selfless actions.
Gefen ran into the face of danger like only a hero does, guided by pure adrenaline and a man's desire to protect those around them. He didn't even have a weapon to protect himself.
Yet, as footage shows, he was just as crucial to stopping the attackers as Ahmed Al-Ahmed was, a Muslim bystander who famously risked his life in the attack.
While Ahmed Al-Ahmed was first recognized by the media, only about a week later did we learn about Geffen, because he was in a coma and his family didn't make any statements.
Since the Hanukkah attack, Geffen has had 8 surgeries and is still in a coma. His friends and family hope he will wake up soon ๐
