Been lusting after an EMS VCS3 (or equivalent synth design), news that a more affordable (less than a grand) clone might be released, but alas it's been cancelled. Can only keep dreaming I guess :'(
Web services should be back online now after our ISP service turned into a third party pass the parcel shitshow. We self host to keep costs down since we haven't got the hang of this becoming a millionare thing.
As the dev. I know almost all about with except. the vast open-ended of use. So asked a "search assistant" a simple thing AMCS - the Advanced Music Construction System does. Turns out it just makes shit up, rather than say it doesn't know and point me to the official website :/
For those of you wondering, AMCS - the Advanced Music Construction System is still being worked on, it's just an absolutely massive undertaking implementing a new feature (if making it talk wasn't mad enough). Thankyou for your patience. #amcs#livesequencing#musicproduction
Clownflare gatekeeping older browsers from websites is boooring. If I choose to use an older operating system which has since had newer browser support taken from it, then that's my choice. You gatekeep me, it's my choice to avoid your inconvenience. #idgaf
As she runs her deformed fingers through your hair, she turns to you with glitching expressions and gently says in a monotone quizzical voice - "Please can you clarify?"
"I'm a professional cake seller, I once bought a blueberry muffin in the supermarket and sold it on for some baccy and papers. These are my top 5 cakes that look like AMCS - the Advanced Music Construction System (reddit.com/r/amcs)" #techno#cake
If ever you doubt that the army of twitter bots are not on my side, they're currently all liking one of my comments referencing the Acorn Archimedes A3000. I have the power! * standing arms up, lightening from hands
So some DAWs charge you a small fortune for limited tracks, AMCS - the Advanced Music Construction System (reddit.com/r/amcs) is 256 tracks and when you recall stuff it's all real-time - currently as hardware for just ~250 quids. And no, "unlimited" MIDI tracks is utter BS.
When TV advertisers re-create a song with a sad piano, uklele and belly aching I ask why. But in the case of a pop track where they say Techno several times, doesn't make it Techno music, so they can have that one.
Found out that the British Science Museum have the same as one of my DJ mixers on display. Not sure why, I always thought the Made2Fade and A&H Xone mixers were the iconic ones. Mine's top-left in this picture, bit heavily gigged tbh - pbs.twimg.com/media/DbV2Z9qW…
Was being silly at Bleep Klub, Bristol. Attempting to use AMCS - the Advanced Music Construction System for jamming with my newly aquired GEM WK2 Groovebox. No idea if it was a success, had fun anyway :D #canitworkwithamcs#bleepklub
