Raid night! While this might look like a simple RTS game, the entire simulation is happening LIVE on $50/mo Hetzner & rendered to a webpage. This is just 1% of the world. Multiple players & thousands of units are raging war 24/7 across connected maps in the same shared world.

Daily check in on the PixelClans world. Every time I open the God View to see what's going on, always spot a good fight or a new base someone has made. Lot of cool entries on the #vibejam but I don't think anyone else made a persistent online world :)

Got the map generator finished! Turned off the fog of war so you can see the whole thing. Different kinds of mobs for different zones. Map infinitely loops. Lot of pathing/AI optimization in. Tons of units on the map and no server lag :) Be wary of the Lich! #vibejam

Made some progress on my RTS! Got a nice coat of paint, figured out how to make a map that wraps East to West like Civ2. See a lot of #vibejam games using 3D, wanted to take a different route. Everything you see is all logic on the server. Multiplayer ready! @levelsio

working on a persistent multiplayer RTS world for #vibejam -- getting the underlying systems down before turning it into 3d or sprites. so far: basic netcode, buildings, auto resource gathering, pathing, enemy AI, unit queuing, multiselect, fog of war, visibility range.
