The UK government wants to scrap Disabled Students Allowance (DSA), which pays for the support workers which enable some disabled students to access university.

The UK government published a Call for Evidence on 10th April called 'Improving Non-Medical Help for Disabled Students in Higher Education.'
It proposes to scrap Disabled Students' Allowance for ALL 'non-medical helpers': the specially trained access workers who enable some disabled students to access education.
