The LLMs used here were GPT-4o, Llama 3 and Command R . There, I saved you some time. It's amazing that this kind of trash gets published and shared.
A randomized study of 3 LLMs finds they are not ready for public use @NatureMedicine nature.com/articles/s41591-0…

LLM psychosis is real considering how many people Anthropic has psyoped into thinking they are somehow the good guys.

Every month or so there are people on my timeline with "OpenAI is done for/screwed etc.". How intense can cope be lmao?

It's hilarious to see all these takes on the Physics Nobel prize from people with strong Dunning-Kruger. Like, stop, you're never getting near to even the shortlist of 100k people for the prize and you're acting like they personally stole the prize from you. The prize [1/2]

has rightly been awarded for impactful, original ideas that have transformed all disciplines including physics and helped us understand the nature of intelligence better. I could not think of anything more deserving. [2/2]

The quotes on this are hilariously wrong. Everyone just blaming "woke" culture. The replies are on point, it's the same dataset Scale AI supplies to everyone.
Not fully sure why all the LLMs sound about the same - over-using lists, delving into “multifaceted” issues, over-offering to assist further, about same length responses, etc. Not something I had predicted at first because of many independent companies doing the finetuning.

The Twitter "For You" tab is absolutely dogshit now. I had to switch completely to the following and custom lists. All that xAI hype and money, you hope they at least can make a half-decent news feed. Instead going to stupid shit like Grok. Fuck elmo.

People should really read what Feynman said about "cargo-cult" science. "In the South Seas there is a cargo cult of people. During the war they saw airplanes land with lots of good materials, and they want the same thing to happen now." /1

Here is my take, one that I have had my whole professional life: If you are using the scientific method in your work, you are doing science. Period. Case closed. I have so, so, much more to say about this, and could probably write a whole book about it, but just wanted to state this one of my core professional beliefs in as unambiguous terms as possible.

"—he’s the controller—and they wait for the airplanes to land. They’re doing everything right. The form is perfect. It looks exactly the way it looked before. But it doesn’t work. No airplanes land." /3

So I call these things cargo cult science, because they follow all the apparent precepts and forms of scientific investigation, but they’re missing something essential, because the planes don’t land." /4

We're deeply saddened by professor Daniel Dennett's passing. We recently had the privilege of interviewing Dennett for our Legends series. It is with heavy hearts we share his video to further spread his wisdom and legacy 🖤

Perhaps conspiracy theories about scientific issues find fertile ground when knowledge is habitually presented with authority, paternalism, condescension or coercion. Or simply concealed. If so, a bit more "No one knows but this is our best guess and here's why" might help.
"Measles is surging again because Covid destroyed trust in the medical establishment" No: measles is back because conspiracy theory destroyed trust in the medical establishment – and in sanity more generally telegraph.co.uk/columnists/2…

Imagine having the power to create any character in an instant and these entitled pricks whining about not being able to generate a overhyped and obviously copyrighted character.

This is the level of delusion people can suffer when just cram what they're fed without any critical thinking.

Incredible to see the short-sightedness of the people QT-ing this (much denial, but understandable). This is a generalist model, not trained at all for this purpose. A little bit fine-tuning and/or in-context learning would remove most errors (as mentioned in the thread).
Worrying if my job was jeopardized by AI this week or if we’re still good, I read a new paper evaluating #GPT4V - a #GPT4 version handling image and text inputs. It produces *impressive* radiology reports. But let’s delve deeper into some of the results... #radiology #AI

The absolute cesspool that's the reply section and QTs of this tweet turned into at the mere mention of Musk justifies this decision more than anything else he could have said.
This is my last tweet. The more I learn about Musk’s projects the less I want to associate with any of them. DCD
