My experience with Spanish hotels with aircon is either say it's working (but it barely cools the room by 1º), or that it's not hot enough yet so it will be turned on next week / next month (then when I come back in a month it's still not on). There are some good ones but it's impossible to tell until you've actually stayed there. @Vincci_Hoteles in Granada & Malaga for example is good, and they have invested in refurbing their buildings to be better insulated, using 3x glazed infrared rejecting glass etc.
First year I see tourists actively leave Europe or stay away because it's 1) too hot and 2) there's still no AC installed in most places or it's set way too hot so essentially useless Tourists will simply stay away if Europeans don't install AC as it will get only hotter probably And tourism is the last thing Europe is still competitive at due to its cultural history!

New @shopify phishing scam. Real notification to the Shop app with a fake card charge. Guessing the goal is @revolut account takeover

Why do LLMs always estimate how much TIME a HUMAN dev / team will take to build a feature? They should tell you how many TOKENS it will take THEM

not only do Xero not let you access your OWN DATA via API, they let other people send phishing emails pretending to be from @Apple via their domain
Oh ffs it just hallucinated everything 😂 It never actually reconciled any expense And Xero says they'll NEVER add that via API because "ReGuLatOrY constraints" So I guess I have to go the browser way huh

I tried to use AI to make my Home Assistant control my aircon and got flagged for cybersecurity by @OpenAI . At least it didn't report me to the EU for setting the temp too low.
I got that little Home Assistant box home-assistant.io/green/ I can highly recommend Home Assistant in general, I was recommended it by @johnonolan and @daniellockyer I remember When I bought my house I hated home automation and didn't want any, cause I had so many bad experiences with some app you have to install in a hotel room or Airbnb and it always sucked so bad with some stupid iPad and there's no light swtiches, gladly F off 99% of home automation is just terrible Home Assistant is open source and it's cool because everyone else with it makes plugins (integrations) to connect any device to it Which solves the biggest problem in home automation, there's many different walled gardens: Amazon has Alexa, Apple has Homepod, Google has Google Home, and when you buy a smart device, it'll only work with a few of them or only one That's where Home Assistant comes in, because it's open source, people hack all these devices to work on Home Assistant, so you can actually control EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING Our house came with a KNX system installed by the electricians, KNX is some more low level home automation system but also quite open, and last week he helped me export his KNX project file and add it my Home Assistant and it's great because everything still has regular light buttons But now I can fix tiny annoyances in this house easily with AI talking to Home Assistant, like shut off the annoying toilet vent that people forget to switch off and just auto switch off after 15 min, or make the lights red at 10pm, or kill those ugly Portugal white LED spots permanently Home automation is best when it gets into the background and just does things and doesn't annoy you like I said that 99% of home automation integrations in hotels and Airbnb do It should be analog by default (analog switches) and then customizable on top of that

I’ve been using Claude to manage fb ads for months, it’s great. But getting API access was the hardest part of the whole thing! This looks like it fixes that. @GoogleAds please do this too!
🚨 Meta released their Ads MCP and CLI today – if you use Claude or ChatGPT you should install this asap (resources in comments). What makes this announcement so interesting is that it gives AI tools direct, authorized access to help manage your Meta Ads account through natural language. 1. Comprehensive reporting Pull detailed reports, surface performance trends, and quickly understand what is happening across campaigns. 2. Campaign management Create and edit campaigns, ad sets, and ads without manually clicking through Ads Manager. 3. Catalog management Create product catalogs, add product data, and troubleshoot feed issues faster. 4. Signal diagnostics Access signal health and quality insights so you can prioritize the parts of your setup that need attention. This is a huge step forward in agentic media buying. Will be testing this rest of the week!

Would not want a bunch of 18650s in my house 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 LiFePo4 only pls
🚨Tesla Akku aus einem Model 3 als Hausspeicher? Geht! Insgesamt 79kWh!

Pretty simple: add instructions to your AGENTS.md to tell it to update your PageIndex or Obsidian knowledge base and update the index whenever relevant context should be saved. Works great.
This may be a dumb question but I’ll ask it here anyways: I can’t find a good way for my various AI chats to automatically sync its conversation history into a structured knowledge base. So that as I update various chats from time to time and refine context, my knowledge base automatically grows with this new info.

I thought it would be interesting to use @karpathy's auto research framework to iteratively make a game more fun, as judged by an llm. This is the starting point, it's supposed to be a tower defence game - will share updates as it iterates.

Looking forward to trying this, but imho the benchmarks are usually misleading and Claude is so much more capable still. GLM-5.1 for example still gets stuck in loops of gibberish - which I’ve never seen with Sonnet, let along Opus
It's game over for Anthropic now

One way to improve this is by selling a lower commitment product on the front end, one that pays back your ad spend on day one instead of month 3-6 Then you sell your higher ticket product / service as an upsell. This is what ladderfunnel.com does.

“When you go from consumer to B2B, the number one mega-challenge that you must master is LTV:CAC.” - @travisk "Yes, you can make that argument on consumer, but when you have a sales funnel that starts with 'I'm going to talk to customers, and I have to make LTV:CAC work' — versus 'My LTV:CAC is the App Store' — it's a whole different ballgame." “LTV:CAC with a sales machine, especially if you go [after] small businesses, is life on hard mode. Anybody who’s crushed it on SMB, those guys are special individuals who've made that happen. Because life in the SMB B2B world is no joke."
