🧐 Do companies that use these devices actually care about their level of cybersecurity? 🧐 I thought it depends on a company-by-company basis. Seeing as regulations still have a way to go perhaps some would try to avoid abiding by laws and good practices. (1/5)

⚠️ I was shocked by his response. Expecting a disgruntled figure, he was desperate for the regulations to go further. He was in a difficult position as. Being accountable to the company CEO, his security decisions that were underpinned by the company's business objectives. (4/5)

💡 How can people with C-levels be so ignorant of cybersecurity? More so, what can be done to make them better informed? This way, CISOs and related roles will feel more trusted to make critical security decisions. Surely this will benefit companies in the long run 💡 (5/5)
Before the conception of @IoTabl_UK , myself and the guys tried to develop a deeper understanding of the IoT security space. In particular: ❓ ‘Where does the accountability lie' ❓ (1/5)

🔒 I know NIS2 Directives is trying to make entities and sectors take measures that would assist in increasing the level of cybersecurity in Europe in the longer term - but this is pending. (4/5)

❓ Leaves me wondering, is this the case for other countries also? How can governments be more responsible in their place to make IoT devices more secure? #iot #internetofthings #cybersecurity #government #community (5/5)

Fantastic event and was the first conference that @iotabltyrone and @Kieran_Iotabl spoke at. Conferences like @BSidesChelt are necessary for engaging cyber enthusiasts over important topics - such as security!
It's hard to believe that exactly one month ago we welcomed over 225 people for 18 talks over 1 incredible day. Thank you to all the speakers, sponsors and volunteers who made that day possible. If you missed any of the talks they are on youtube: bit.ly/3JOIien 1/2

Building a tech start-up, I thought it might be useful to begin @yu_angela's #100daysofcodechallenge - coding in Python I've just completed #Day1. It'll be a long(er than 100 days) but, as with helping to make #IoT #devices #secure, the value is not in the journey!
