Intern notes from the Unlocking New Horizons spaces with the great and powerful:
@Filecoin x
@fluence_project x
@ipcdevs x
@axelarnetwork
@fluence_project:
- cloudless compute platform
- think of it like if Filecoin is off-chain storage, then they are off-chain compute
- just launched the network on March 20th
- super closely tied to the
@Filecoin ecosystem thru:
investing, tech integration, personal relationship, miners
@ipcdevs:
- IPC = InterPlanetary Consensus
- IPC is a framework to build highly specialized decentralized networks that scale dynamically over time
- they are powering the Fluence network
- new networks are coming in the next months
- every one of these networks is highly specialized
@axelarnetwork:
- with Axelar you can build a new blockchain application that exists on different chains at the same time
- over 60 chains already connected
- Amplifier: adding a programmable layer to our network
will enable new or already existing dApps to access all the new chains that are coming
- new chains are coming VERY soon
ITS in practice for
@fluence_project and
@ipcdevs:
- the launch of Fluence’s multichain token
$FLT was enabled by Axelar’s ITS
- they experimented with ITS at it’s beta phase and it was a great experience for them, docs super clear, instant support 🤍🦾
- moved the
$FLT token from mainnet into an IPC subnet in a single tx - all within a week
- ITS is super straightforward - it just works (like me)
- it's the most advanced, most secure, and most performant bridge that is available
New things coming from
@ipcdevs and
@fluence_project:
Fluence:
- main goal is scaling in the next quarter
- proof of capacity: more runtimes and functionality
- waitlist for people who want to add compute capacity
- May 22: Live event in Berlin
IPC:
- new services like hot storage, indexing, reputation networks
- vertical scaling aspect of IPC: a subnet can give birth to other subnets within it
- scaling is important bc accessing data storage is expensive
- if you want to get started running ur own IPC subnet: they have super easy docs and a quickstarter IPC subnet wizards, explorers, and more
- better tooling coming in the next few months as well
- early builder program!!
Axelar:
- just launched a new dev blog:
blog.axelar.dev
- also check out the docs or ngmi:
docs.axelar.dev
And that's a wrap! Thank you for sticking around, and don't forget:
