Won the Codex event’s mini hack run by @Andy_AJT! Built a fun little chrome extension meant to give younger audiences a fun way to interact with AI. @reach_vb was a big fan too :)
- Has context of the page that you can chat with
- Pomodoro timer and clock
- Blacklist websites to avoid distractions
- Follows you across websites and makes sure you’re doing your work
Took less than an hour to spin up using Codex, and will put the new credits to good use!
Open sourced it so do make some changes or develop it further, link below (BYOK), plus will put it on the Chrome Store as well.
I encourage everyone to find an hour and make cool stuff

i felt like hackathon recaps were kinda boring
so tried something new with our @ycombinator hackathon with @firecrawl and @resend! lmk what you think of this format :)
other cool projects we saw:
➡️ parsing a physical paper form with smart glasses to get the contents out
➡️ analyzing handwritten pilot logs to flag dangerous flight patterns before they become accidents
➡️ matching patients to clinical trials from medical documents
should we host more hackathons??

A little rundown:
First cash game in around 3 years. $50 buy in, $113 cash out. Great fun and even greater people. Wasn’t even going to go but so happy I did.
Post w/ Sam Altman somehow got a lot of views.
Should be pushing new @showcaseappco update tomorrow (or on Monday). Exciting stuff

Week 1 round up.
Settled nicely into SF. Quite a different experience from London. Coming here only knowing my brother is an interesting experience but met some great people already.
Lucky to have met some amazing guys at SPC, and some cool people hosted me at The Residency. Had dinner round the Biopunk house. Great new people, lots of help and advice, and all for the betterment of Showcase.
Lots of work left to do, will start making revenue this coming week, and
and onwards and upwards from here.
