We are fast approaching the THIRD school year of dealing with COVID.

There are incoming second grade students who started school in 2019 who have never experienced school without the presence of COVID.

Rather than asking, “What will we teach in the curriculum?” the fundamental curriculum question becomes, “What should students be able to do with their learning?”. In other words, what if we structured (i.e., mapped) the curriculum around authentic tasks and projects?

Student voice is already there. It's not something we give. It's something we honor. And we do when we listen.
