The Govt. of India has been very keen over the last few years to realign the MSPs of oilseeds, pulses and coarse cereals to encourage farmers diversify to larger area under these crops and adopt good agricultural practices.

Modi govt has approved an increase in the farmers' income of minimum support prices (MSP) for all mandated Rabi crops for 2022-23.
Along with an increase in MSP, procurement process has been strengthened so that maximum number of farmers may get its benefits.
