Australia is basically invisible. It’s mostly an irrelevant market. If you’re an Australian entrepreneur, make sure you’re focused globally or on the US from day 1 if you want to build something significant.
Over the last month, I've spent a lot of time with fashion and apparel merchants digging into their:
a) pains
b) problems
c) areas of focus
Walking into these conversations I was unaware of how often I would ask leading questions. A few include:
a) would you buy x
b) would x
How to avoid self-sabotaging thoughts? 🤷♂️
1) Write them down
2) Visualise yourself literally scratching it out of your head
3) Repeat
Do this as many times as it takes until the thought no longer makes sense.
I've done this for years now and for me, it works every time 🙏
Three NON-sexy barriers that make a startup idea worth tackling:
1) Expertise. The idea isn't a simple a b=c
2) Risk. The core value takes years not months to crack
3) Grit. Only someone slightly insane would give it a go

How to get shit done? Swallow the frog 🐸 .
Pick the HARDEST thing in front of you and just do it. Swallow it EVERY day. Swallow it FIRST thing. Swallow it NO MATTER what.
Going from 0 to 5 customers is hard. Going from 500 to 1,000 customers is hard. Going from 10,000 to 100,000 customers is hard.
It never gets easy. Problems just evolve.
