📰 Club Statement: Bridgwater United Women FC to leave Clevedon Town ground.
Bridgwater United Women FC have blown the final whistle on playing their home fixtures at Clevedon Town’s Hand Stadium.
Trevor Jenkins, General Manager of the club, said: “The backing we have received from Clevedon Town, both on and off the pitch, has played a huge role in making this season such an enjoyable and positive experience for our players, staff and supporters alike, and we are very appreciative of their support.”
The club moved to Clevedon following a period of uncertainty, during which they played home games at various grounds across Somerset before settling at Clevedon for the 2025/26 season.
The move gave the club a home ground and much-needed stability.
Bob Buckingham, Commercial Director, said: “The professionalism, kindness and openness shown to us has not gone unnoticed and will always be appreciated by everyone connected with the club.”
Since relocating, the team have gone on to enjoy a successful season on the pitch, finishing in third, one place outside the promotion spots, with confidence high that next season could bring a push for promotion.
Jenkins added: “We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to everyone at Clevedon Town FC for their support throughout the 2025/26 season. From the board and staff to the volunteers and supporters, we have been made to feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived.”
The club are expected to announce details of its new home in the next few days.
