🚨0⃣PLAYOFF NO-HITTER!0⃣🚨 Carroll defeats Boswell 3-0 to win the Bi-District series and advance to the Area round of the 6A playoffs, thanks to a combined no-hitter from Jackson Smith @Jackson__Smith1 and Gavin Morris @Gmorris2028! Smith 5.0 IP, 0H, 0R, 4BB, 6K's, WIN Morris 2.0 IP, 0H, 0R, 1BB, 2K's, SAVE Every Dragon in the lineup reached base at least once and 8 batters collected 10 hits, led by Bo Kuhn @bokuhn31 and Camden Dean @cd33lefty, who each singled twice. Carroll also stole 5 bases. The Dragons got all of the offense they would need in the 2nd when Kuhn drove in Dane Thornton @GameDane_, who had singled to lead off the inning and swiped second base. They added a pair of insurance runs in the 3rd on hits by Shawn Arterburn @ShawnArterburn, Matthew Heredia @MatthewHeredi16, and Gavin Strange @GavinStrange1. A 6-3 groundout, Heredia > Kuhn, secured the final out and set off the celebration as the Dragons advance. 🚨🚨0⃣ NO HITTER! 0⃣🚨🚨 Three Carroll pitchers threw a combined no-hitter to defeat L.D. Bell 5-1. In a must-win game for the Dragons, sophomore RHP Cason Austin @CasonAusti67093 inherited a bases loaded jam with the tying run at the plate in the 6th, and promptly went K, K, F8 without allowing a run. Austin collected the final 3 outs in the 7th to complete the two-inning save. Junior LHP Jackson Smith @Jackson__Smith1 got the start and struck out 3 in 3 innings, before an extended rain delay chased him from the game. Sophomore Gavin Morris @Gmorris2028 threw 2 innings of middle relief, also punching out 3. Smith, Morris, and Austin went 7 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 5 BB, 9 K's. The big blow offensively came from Gavin Strange @GavinStrange1, who ripped a bases loaded double in the bottom of the 5th to plate Matthew Heredia @MatthewHeredi16, who led off the inning with a double of his own, and two other Dragons to make it 5-0. Strange was 2-for-3 with 3 RBI's and stole a bag. For the second straight game, Camden Dean @cd33lefty scored from the lead off spot to give Carroll a 1-0 advantage in the 1st. The Dragons have now won 5 straight and will conclude district play next week vs. Keller Central. @SLCAthletics @Carrollisd @DragonTDClub

Huge win today for @DragonBaseball. Got the start and went 5ip 2bb 8k’s 1 ER. Fastball sat 84-86 T87, and the changeup was really good. Shoutout to @CooperNewby44 for catching a great game. @StixBaseballTX @Velo_doc

Carroll took advantage of 5 walks, a HBP, and an RBI single by Shawn Arterburn @ShawnArterburn in the 1st inning to grab a 4-0 lead and held on for the 5-2 victory over Northwest. Junior LHP Jackson Smith @Jackson__Smith1 twirled a gem, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, and punching out 8 for the W. Camden Dean @cd33lefty got the final 6 outs in relief, with 3 K's of his own. Arterburn (2-for-3) made a sliding play in LF with the bases loaded to double up the runner at 2nd and end a Texan rally. Gavin Strange @GavinStrange1 made a nice running play in CF for the final out. The two teams will meet again on Tuesday night in Justin.

Carroll falls to Cypress 6-2 in Friday morning's opener. Jackson Smith @Jackson__Smith1 allowed 3 runs (2 earned) and struck out 4. The Dragons cut the deficit to 1 in the 6th but were unable to pull off a come from behind victory. Next up = El Dorado. Go Dragons!

Carroll picks up a 6-4 victory over Colleyville Heritage at Friday's nightcap. Braeden Baker @b_baker41 hit a go-ahead three-run 💣in the bottom of the 6th to secure the win. Sophomore Nathan Tomkins @NathanTomkins77 collected his first varsity hit with a triple to lead off the 6th and scored on Grayson Pompa's @GraysonPompa single to cut the lead to one. Gavin Strange @GavinStrange1 reached base 3 times, score once, drove in one, and swiped a base. Three Dragon pitchers struck out 12 Panther hitters - junior Jackson Smith (5) @Jackson__Smith1 and sophomores Brendan Kim (2) and Gavin Morris (5) @Gmorris2028.
