I hit $1,008,770 MRR as an app founder in Ship-a-storm πŸš€ Can you grow your app's MRR while dodging App Store rejections, X bans & a trillionaire Mars boss? πŸ•ΉοΈ agniverse.co/ship-a-storm

Coming for you with gpt 5.5
I one-shotted this with Fable yesterday - the most stressful game an app founder can play You grow your MRR while the entire startup economy tries to kill you πŸ’£ It's called Ship-a-storm πŸš€ Free, plays on mobile laptop. 2 mins of me getting wrecked πŸ‘‡

🧡 Superwall had on off-the-record* meeting with someone very high up at Apple yesterday to ask questions about what is and isn't allowed on the App Store. We asked for rules on β†’ App2Web β†’ Transaction Abandon β†’ Free Trial Toggles β†’ A/B Testing Paywalls in General Here's everything we learned... * Guidelines are intentionally subjective and ultimately up to the reviewer to interpret (more on this in my last post). The only way Apple takes an official stance on a guideline is by updating them. Some topics may never enter the official guidelines... that doesn't mean they're allowed. There's a whole layer of internal policy behind the guidelines that isn't written down anywhere and subject to change. The text you read is just the tip of the iceberg. That's what this thread is about. πŸ‘‡

Remote Paywall Updates / AB testing in general... β†’ Remote paywall updates / AB testing is 100% allowed and encouraged by Apple. They want developers to win β†’ No matter the reason - shipping a non-compliant paywall to customers is not allowed You assume the risk when you make a remote update. If you break the rules remotely you will get flagged. If you do it repeatedly you will get banned.

Biggest takeaway: the App Store guidelines are a living, breathing document. Reviewers are human. And a LOT is up for interpretation - intentionally. Apple told us they WANT developers to push against the guidelines. That's how cool new things get built (crypto, vibe coding, ...). When you push too far, they warn you. When enough developers hit the same wall, they update the rules. Build boldly. Stay clear and honest with your customers. And when in doubt, feel free to ask us. We can get in touch with Apple and get you a real answer.

Big s/o to @Superwall. The AI builder is crazily good. I gave it a screenshot of a paywall I designed in Figma. It replicated it almost perfectly. I just made minor tweaks.
