Land clearance started in the evening of March 3 and they were issued a notice to stop the next day. But the works continued. It happened very quickly.

Fort Rocky falls within Conservation Zone B of the P-PRPA. In this Zone the removal or disturbance of sand, dunes, rock, flora, and fauna is explicitly prohibited. Who gave permission for this? @nepajamaica @matthewsamuda @JnhtOfficial @Babsy_grange

Thanks to the dedication of 5,802 volunteers from 109 groups, 69,010 pounds of garbage were removed from 272.31 miles of Jamaican coastline on International Coastal Cleanup Day 2024.
