Everyone talking about how “Siri AI” sucks but why the heck did Apple fumble having the best local AI machine on the market and not pound the table about it at WWDC.
Wanted to buy a new Mac Studio for San Francisco. We don’t even know how to make these anymore.

Yep
I just bought a Tesla Model Y Full Self Driving is one of the most impressive pieces of technology I’ve ever experienced. I now wish I’d got it a year ago.

Tesla FSD should have stay away from big trucks (like semis and construction dump trucks) mode. @Tesla_AI

No, it’s to hold your Ive Sailing Lantern while you manipulate the little shifter with your index finger and thumb. homecrux.com/sailing-lantern…

Yes. Once you try FSD HWv4, it seems irresponsible (or even just dumb) not to get it.
I haven’t had a car payment since March 2021. I’m testing driving a Tesla with my wife. It’s driving itself. It drove us to the charger. We charged for 10 mins from 34% to 70%. It drove us to lunch. It’s driving us back to the drop off spot. Yeah, I’m fucked. There is a 0% chance we don’t have a car payment soon…

Seems like all risk and no reward.
Let me get this straight - At great expense, the US is repatriating 17 people exposed to an airborne virus w/ a ~30% CFR long incubation period to a quarantine facility in Nebraska that they won't be quarantined or tested in & they can just... go home? abcnews.com/International/li…

Omg even at the National Quarantine Unit where the hantavirus contacts are, they’re still only using surgical masks when people in quarantine interact with the medical staff. If one of them gets infected, you’ll know why.

A 12th hantavirus case is confirmed after a crew member aboard the MV Hondius cruise ship, which arrived in the Netherlands last week for disinfection, tested positive, the WHO says. nbcnews.com/health/health-ne…

Pretty amazing. In a residential area my Tesla FSD slowed down slightly to let a little bird 🐦 flying next to my car pass in front of me. It’s awesome that they are tracking animals that small.

I built something very much like this a couple years ago. Same motherboard, processor, ram, but just dual 3090 ftw3. Interesting info on the power and cpu limiting settings for single outlet power source.
Incredible resource if you're thinking about building a quad 3090 GPU workstation. 96GB VRAM, around ~$4,500 total costs.

Since a lot of the CO2 measuring devices in the $50 range are fraudulent, I built one with a SCD41 sensor ($30) and a CYD esp32 ($15). Code and BOM below
Recently got one as a gift. Temp humidity same sitting on counter and over a pot of steaming water 😂.

FSD v14 is supposedly ~1B. Hopefully a sign that all types of models can be efficient / small and great.
I don’t understand how this can be 2.6B params

“I don’t tell you how to do your job. You don’t tell me how to do mine. *Tesla FSD engaged Bing noise*”
As an occasional Uber Driver, I have done over 300 passenger rides by now. I use FSD for 100% of my rides. For the first time ever, I just had passengers who were adamantly opposing my use of FSD. One of them said he doesn’t trust Elon Musk. He is a software engineer, and he says he knows that software isn’t perfect. He doesn’t wanna be the one to edge case that leads to an accident. We had a nice conversation. I tried to appeal to his mathematical mind, arguing that the combination of the system and myself observing is definitely safer than me driving without it. He didn’t wanna hear any of it. Both of them didn’t. Interesting. I did not expect that position from an engineer. Oh and: I felt a lot more nervous, driving entirely myself again. It was over 20 minutes. I do not want to do this anymore. Driving a vehicle is insane.
