At EE2025 @jamesking asked what Kahneman and Tversky got right.
Using two-sentence stories is one thing.
So here's a two-sentence EE story.
We asked quantitatively trained economists to complete a gambling task. When we gave them time to think about it, they did worse.

I’ve long hypothesized that ‘life is the universe developing a memory’. This is the basis of Assembly Theory (AT) and Philip Ball has written an article about AT published here in Quanta. quantamagazine.org/a-new-the…
Here's my latest project: ooh.directory , a collection of hundreds of blogs.
I was tired of hearing "no body blogs any more" and wanted to show that there are so. many. blogs!
I have loads more blogs and features to add yet, and I hope you find something interesting.
I'm very excited to have joined @AdeptAILabs! We're building a universal collaborator – it's like an overlay that sits on top of all the software you use. You can hand off tasks to it by just... asking. Below is an early preview of some things it can do!

Termination Shock by Neal Stevenson is really good! Most similar to Reamde in terms of style (near future, fun, not weird). Perhaps the most entertaining book about climate change? Audio book narration is superb too.
"Writing a book" was admittedly a very time-consuming, effortful way to achieve my #1 life goal: Being reviewed by @slatestarcodex. But hey, at least it worked!

We're exploring ways for young people with lived experience to shape mental health research. Are you a young person with lived experience, an ally, or a researcher/innovator working on young people’s mental health? We'd love to learn from you 👇 #MentalHealth#LivedExperience
Working on an important project close to my heart right now. We're looking to speak with folks in India, Uganda and UK, specifically:
- young people with #LivedExperience of #MentalHealth challenges
- allies who support them
- researchers working on this
Plz help us connect? 🙏
🚨 Are you a person living with #depression, someone who treats people with depression, and/or someone who's just generally enthusiastic about the intersection of #mentalhealth and #HealthTech? If so, then you might want to get involved in our upcoming user research project!
