It is worth watching this CNN video from the moment Emory Econ Professor @CarolineFohlin came across the violent arrest of a protester on campus and asked the police, with shock, "What are you doing?" That's all that prompted an officer to hurl her to the ground and handcuff her.
Dr. Jane McPherson recently represented UGA Social Work in Europe. She gave an invited paper on Human Rights Practice at the University of Madrid Complutense and then traveled to Lithuania to give a paper on History and Memory at the European Conference for Social Work Research.

Happy @WorldSocialWorkDay! We had a delicious lunch & spectacular turnout to hear our amazing MSW students talk about their work in their home countries of Colombia, Nigeria, and Tanzania. A wonderful event and great day @UGASocialWork !
The building that the UGA School of Social Work resides in has a unique and storied history that few knew about. Until @janemcphers uncovered it, that is. Now that story and its ties to the profession are part of our MSW curriculum. #uga#socialwork #

One of my favorite conference traditions is taking a walk with
@UGASocialWork's @janemcphers. The conversations are always great. And we got to see some very cool things in DC. #SSWR2024
