My wonderful mum died on Friday. We are all devastated and taking things one day at a time.
Iām not one to openly share personal information but she received so much wonderful care in her last days of life that I wanted to do a quick thread to thank everyone involved.
These people will all say they were ājust doing their jobā but they have made an unbelievable difference to myself and my family in probably the worst time of our lives. Thank You šš» xxx
And last but probably most importantly to us Helen Janet and Sharon from the incredible IHNS. They were just the most amazing presence that brought calmness, caring and reassurance in such a stressful time for our family. @NHSSheffieldCCG @SheffieldHosp
What a phenomenal service
Alba, Charlotte, Ben, Scarlett and all of the wonderful district nurses from @SheffieldHosp @NHSSheffieldCCG who came quickly when called, took the time to provide emotional support to us all, and most importantly of all put my mum first
@mctague_laura Helen Smith, Annette and Mags from @StLukes_Sheff who not only helped to control mumās symptoms but also provided my dad and myself with support and reassurance before I could be there. I always knew mum would be in good hands with them.
My mumās wonderful GP Dr Joshi at Nethergreen Surgery who despite being super busy, took the time out to call mum regularly to check in and also when she wasnāt able to talk she still called my dad to make sure he was ok @NHSSheffieldCCG
