On this day in 1995, Jars of Clay released their self-titled album on Essential Recordsā€¦and the rest is history! #Jars30 Can we PLEASE get it re-released on vinyl again? I missed out the first time!

Album Of The Day: Jars Of Clay by Jars Of Clay Released 30 years ago this year & today to some US markets, this is their much-beloved debut album. The band came out of the gate with excellent songs & an acoustic-rock style that was unique & has been imitated by many bands since.
Album Art of Jars Of Clay's self-titled album - The majority of this is a dark blue background that looks like branches being photographed through sunlight and very blurry. In the middle is a black-and-white is 4 white men, most of them in baggy clothes and not looking at the camera. In the bottom right of that photo is the handwritten band name with a drop shadow above both the photo and the background.

For our last episode, I tried to use A.I. to upscale an old promo photo of the band...with disastrous results. Needless to say, I went a different direction with the artwork. #Jars30

For #Jars30, @jarsofclay should release a series of concert recordings from each of their major tours. People deserve to hear the gems from Tour on a Stick, Bubblemaker's Dream, Colliding Rhinos, Three O Clock Parade, Thinking Man's Pop Tour, the "Save the Hymnals" tour, etc.
