I just wanted to keep looking at the generative art on @fx_hash_ — so I built a little viewer for it 🌱 The pieces on fxhash actually live on-chain (onchfs) and on IPFS. So I made a small browser viewer that loads each artwork straight from there and runs the original generator right in your browser. That way you can keep enjoying these works for a long time, whatever happens down the road. It gathers pieces from Tezos, Ethereum and Base into one gallery, and save any piece to keep offline. Honestly it's just nice to have everything I love in one calm little place. I can't code at all. I made the whole thing with Claude Code, basically just chatting in plain words and describing what I wanted. Wild that this is possible now. It's free and open source — come have a look or use it for your own favourites 🌐 fxhash-viewer.vercel.app 💻 github.com/WicketWystriWarri…

Dr. Bill was inspired by @HerbertWFranke's book Computergraphik – Computerkunst (1971) while at MSU and later became friends with him. He began creating art using an IBM 1800 DACS mainframe computer.

One of the enduring qualities of Web3 is the way artists remain curious about one another's work. The line between maker, collector, and supporter is often far thinner than elsewhere. (@v3ga) has been plotting remarkable code-based artworks for years. I've personally followed his work since 2021 and, in one of those reminders of how closely connected this community can be, he later released Pathways on Verse in 2023. It's amazing seeing Ricky's work find its way with Julien during The Garden's debut. Highlighted: Split Logic #29

Technical issues or not, Verse hit it out of the park with last week's releases. Especially Situations by @erikswahn is terrific -- hope to collect soon 🤞 But the claim that Verse is particularly useful as "a place to see all artworks by one artist in one place" isn't truthful Although not complete either (e.g. we added support for Async Art just last week), @raster_art's artist oeuvres are vastly more comprehensive Let's take @nuclearsamurai as an example: Verse: 10,000 (brainrot) 2,390 tokens Raster: 10,000 2,801 tokens ( 411!) 411 tokens you will not find on Verse! Even for artists such as Swahn, who Verse works with all the time, Raster is the only place where you can find all their work in one place For artists Verse hasn't worked with, the difference is typically more pronounced Enjoy: NS: raster.art/artist/nuclear-sa… ES: raster.art/artist/erik-swahn
Jeez. What a couple of days. Firstly, massive congratulations to @nuclearsamurai, and thank you so much - both for the opportunity, and for being the most awesome collaborator as your minting partner was doing everything to try to take you down. I’ve been blown away seeing you operate over the past few weeks, and would be surprised if there’s anyone in the world with your skillset. Seriously next level, on multiple levels.  Friday wasn’t our finest hour. We misjudged the amount of strain the site would come under, and failed to scale our servers as a result. Painfully, this came a few months after migrating away from AWS to cut costs after a tough few years for the market. AWS lets you scale servers on demand. Our new provider doesn’t. At one point our backend was receiving >2,000 requests per second, and the site just couldn’t take it. I’m not sure how many were affected, but we received nearly a thousand support requests. Not ideal. I’m very sorry to everyone whose time (and funds) we took. Needless to say we’ll be scaling our servers. I think we’ve now got back to everyone who reached out here and in Discord. We’re still working to resolve a small number of tickets, and will do so as soon as we can. It’s possible a couple of messages slipped through the cracks - if we’ve not gotten back to you yet please give us a nudge by creating a ticket in our Discord support channel (link below). We’ll get things resolved asap. I can imagine how frustrating it must be to wait 3 hours to have your money taken, not receive an NFT, not receive a quick refund, and then watch the value of the NFT you missed out on rocket. Not the first impression we want to make, and I can only apologise. I’d also like to apologise to @madam_selkie, @natybtw and @erikswahn - three artists who also had works releasing on Friday. Selkie’s work is currently live on Verse. Naty and Erik’s works will go live tomorrow (Monday). To everyone who collected on Verse for the first time - sorry, but welcome! We’re a community of collectors, always excited to meet new collectors and introduce them to the brilliant artists we’re lucky enough to work with. Most of the action’s in Discord. Please feel free to say hi and introduce yourself in verse-hq - everyone’s extremely welcome. I realise most recent minters won’t have the highest impression of our site, but we hope it could be useful now it’s back up and running - in particular as a way of seeing all works by a certain artist all in one place. You can take a look at Nuke’s profile here, for instance: verse.works/nuclear-samurai. Lastly - I’d like to say a massive thank you to the huge number of people who have come out to support us these past couple of days. These businesses aren’t the easiest to run, but it really does make it so much easier with people like @graceb_art in our corner (even if we don’t always listen to her). Thank you so much everyone 🙏
