This map is why NextEra paid $66.8 billion. The combined entity covers Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. → 10 million customer accounts → 110 GW of generation capacity → 130 GW of large-load opportunities in the pipeline → >80% regulated earnings That last number is the whole thesis. Regulated earnings backed by long-term contracts. Predictable cash flows. AI-linked demand locked in for decades. Virginia is the crown jewel. Northern Virginia's Data Center Alley the world's largest concentration of data centers sits inside Dominion's service territory. Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, CoreWeave are already customers. The 130 GW of large load pipeline isn't a forecast. It's signed letters of intent from hyperscalers who need power and have nowhere else to go. NextEra brings Florida: 12 million people, one of the fastest-growing states in the US, and a utility already partnered with Google on nuclear restarts. Dominion brings the data center corridor stretching from Virginia through the Carolinas. Together they control the power infrastructure for the most electricity-intensive stretch of the US East Coast. Another data point for the trade I covered my latest article, the link for it is in the below comments👇

Springdale will vote today to permanently join the Community Clean Energy Program. If adopted, rate increases will begin in January. The program has been adopted by 18 additional communities in Utah and aims to provide 100% renewable energy to the communities involved by 2030.

Terrain-following trackers have unlocked more land for #solar than ever — less grading, faster schedules, and access to sites that weren't viable before. The tradeoff? Accurate topographic data becomes everything. That's where Ampacity comes in. As Daniel Jencka, customer experience manager, puts it: "We're taking something that's difficult or maybe impossible to do well in the field, and we're giving them the elevations so that they don't have to think about it." Fewer surprises, cleaner installs, projects that stay on track. ampacity.com/pile-height-ver…

The growth I've watched is amazing. What a team!
From humble beginnings in 2014 to a coast-to-coast clean energy force—#WeAreAmpacity. We sat down with Ampacity President Eben Russell, VP of Customer Excellence Jay Miles, and CFO Crosby Fish to talk about where we've been, where we're headed, and what makes Ampacity a partner unlike any other in the industry. From our 350 professionals committed to customer service to our expanding footprint—including our Des Moines distribution facility serving customers across the Midwest—Ampacity is built for what the clean energy industry needs right now, and tomorrow too. Community solar. Utility distribution. Data centers. Electrical components. The energy needs of this country are growing fast, and we're growing with them. Our mission to accelerate #cleanenergy drives everything we do. And we're just getting started. 🔗 Learn more: ampacity.com/?utm_source=x&u… #EnergyTransition #TeamAmpacity

It’s over when Frank says it’s over.
Alta's "Frank" Closing Day Party Has Been Cancelled. The sun-soaked gathering at Alta’s Punk Rock with jumps, silly awards, hot dogs (which are thrown at contenders), and plenty of throwback kits... will be no longer. powder.com/news/frank-cancel…

A 60 MW project doesn’t come together without a lot of work behind the scenes. Our crews show up every day ready to get the job done, pushing projects forward even when the weather doesn’t cooperate. Sometimes the smallest things go a long way—like donuts and hot coffee on a cold morning. Huge thanks to our crews for the dedication, teamwork, and hard work that keeps every Ampacity project moving forward. ampacity.com/?utm_source=x&u… #TeamAmpacity

Checks out. Less bombs with solar too.
a barrel of oil can provide as much electricity as a 400W solar panel does annually. a barrel of oil runs $92 and comes with a few minor logistical complications. this year the solar panel should run less than $90; you can order online, ships in a week.

In a recent feature from @Solar_Builder, industry leaders projected record solar deployment in 2026, even amid the ITC rollback. Surging electricity demand and solar’s speed and cost advantages are keeping momentum strong. At Ampacity, we exist for this momentum. As a value-added distributor supporting projects nationwide, we know the next phase of #Solar and the broader #EnergyTransition is already underway—and we're here for it. solarbuildermag.com/financin…

My e-truck goes 460 miles
Former Goldman Sachs CEO tonight on EVs with Bill Maher: Bill: "Once you have one (EV) it seems barbaric to go to a gas station." Lloyd: "I want to get into a car, know I can drive 300 miles and don't have to have my fingers crossed that I can recharge it and don't have it take 2 hours." Bill: "Lloyd, mine goes 360 (miles)."
