Could the real @ShabanaMahmood come home please. Thanks @ZackPolanski for reminding us who she was. #Migration #humanity #HumanRights
Dear @ShabanaMahmood, Let's clear some things up around migration and remember we're talking about people's lives.

Shameful how business community in #Cambodia hides it head in the sand when anything human rights related comes up. Embarrassing too that the likes of @ukincambodia who used to care about business & human rights signed a 'no rights principles' trade agreement with Phnom Penh.
Lots of calls for Mech Dara release. Very quiet: - Cambodian business community - Foreign business community

Israel is assassinating Palestinian journalists. Plain and simple. This should be the front page news story of every damn newspaper around the world.
🚨Samer bled for over 5 hours. He called for help. No one could get to him. 3 first responders died alongside him. He tried to move to safety. An Israeli drone targeted him a 2nd time. Samer was not collateral damage. He was targeted. Israel killed him. Rest in Power dear Samer.

There are different ways to report a story. With words. With pictures. Sometimes I use music. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I’ve been writing a piece for the piano about what’s happening here. @BBCNews @BBCRadio3 @BBCr4today

499 days since the Taliban’s barbaric BAN on girls going to school & 36 days since they BANNED women from going to university. This is a shameful mark on humanity. In the 21st century, when millions of girls are deprived of an education in Afghanistan — the world remains silent.

Today is a tragic day for Arab media as BBC Arabic Radio has broadcast for the last time, after 85 years of service. One of many huge losses following cuts in BBC World Service's budget. في يوم محزن، اخر بث بي بي سي راديو عربي من الكبير محمود المسلمي

“I looked at the pictures of Mr. Putin trying to look for a trace of humanity.” Two decades ago @MrsMThatcher said THE brutal truth about Putin but the West was immensely naive. Very wise words ⬇️

A girls' school in Iran brought a member of the IRGC-run Basij paramilitary to speak to students. The girls welcomed the speaker by taking off their headscarves & chanting "get lost, Basiji". Teenage girls have been at the forefront of protests for days. x.com/1500tasvir/status/1577…

Good to see that @guardian is *finally* covering this issue, but a bit misleading to say the issue has had a lot of coverage in “recent weeks” when journos like @MechDara1, @DanielleRose84, @BlombergMD etc have been covering it in depth for 18 months… theguardian.com/world/2022/a…
