25 years ago yesterday I earned my commission as a Naval Officer! One of the proudest moments of my life. Going from a high school grad with no degree to this was the pinnacle of my career and proof you can accomplish anything you set your mind to!

The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress 9 July 1918 (amended by an act of 25 July 1963), takes pride in presenting the Silver Star (Posthumously) to Private First Class Roland Michael Bowen United States Army, for gallantry in action while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an armed hostile force while serving with Company A, 716th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Group, 18th Military Police Brigade in the Republic of Vietnam. Private First Class Bowen distinguished himself by exceptionally valorous actions on 31 January 1968 while serving as assistant machine gunner of a military police alert team on a reaction mission during the battle for Saigon. While checking and securing a billets complex in the Cholen-Tan Son Nhut sector, his patrol received an urgent request to reinforce a sister element that was heavily engaged in a firefight with the Viet Cong near the Phu Tho race track. An enemy force savagely attacked his unit as it moved toward the embattled troops, and his vehicle was hit and disabled by intense automatic weapons fire. Heedless of his safety, Private Bowen remained on the jeep despite a hail of enemy fire and removed the machine gun. Braving a withering barrage, he advanced twenty-five meters with his team leader and set up the gun in an exposed position to draw the enemy fire away from his comrades. His furious fighting suppressed the Viet Cong fire and allowed the other patrol members to reach cover. He was mortally wounded while unhesitantly and unselfishly placing the safety of his fellow soldiers above his own in the heat of battle. Private First Class Bowen's gallantry in action, at the cost of his life, was in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflects great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army." General Orders: Headquarters, U.S. Army Vietnam, General Orders No. 1103 (13 March 1968) Action Date: 31 January 1968

Getting Jones elected is absolutely critical to winning Georgia in 2028. He’ll clean up the mess in Fulton County. Reminder: Rick Jackson donated money to Stacey Abrams and sued the Trump admin to protect illegal immigrants. This guy is a fraudster. Georgia must defeat him.

Our friend, @TheRascallion , was so pleased when that beloved big horn sheep decided to take a short leave from @BrownellsInc in Iowa and come have some porch time here in Appalachia! They got to jawin', of course, as big horn sheep and rascally raccoons are want to do, and began waxing about how much fun the old standbys can be. The trusty side by side and the sweet .38 special are hard to beat. Maybe it was the mellifluous tones of a friend or maybe it was that sweet mountain dew but Rascal figured we would bless y'all a little extra this week and and give TWO of you ne'er-do-wells a shot at winning! Our friends over @SummRidge have pitched in yet again so make sure to put a little extra sugar in their tea this week! For Harvey's Famous Weekly GIVEAWAY this week you have a Stoeger Coach gun in 12ga and a Heritage Roscoe .38special! THERE WILL BE TWO SEPERATE WINNERS DRAWN THIS WEEK! To enter you must FOLLOW us and @SummRidge , REPOST or QUOTE POST, and REPLY! I wish you all good luck and thank you ever so much for helping us spread the word of HARVEY'S PISTOL & PAWN!

INCIDENT REPORT - LAW ENFORCEMENT / EMERGENCY SERVICES STYLE MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, IDAHO Gunfighter Skies Air Show Date: 17 May 2026 Time of Incident: Approximately 1300 hours local At approximately 1300 hrs., local time during the Gunfighter Skies Air Show at Mountain Home Air Force Base, two U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft (assigned to the VAQ-129 Demo Team) were involved in a mid-air collision roughly two miles northwest of the base. Eyewitness accounts and video evidence indicate the aircraft made contact while maneuvering during the performance. Both aircraft subsequently lost control, descended, and impacted the ground, resulting in post-crash fires and explosions that produced large plumes of black smoke visible from the air show grounds. All four crew members (two per aircraft) successfully ejected via their ejection seats. Initial reports confirm four good parachutes were observed, and all personnel are reported to have reached the ground safely with no immediate life-threatening injuries noted. The air show was immediately halted, the base was placed on lockdown, and the remaining performances (including scheduled U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds) were canceled. Emergency response personnel from the base and local agencies responded to the scene. Status: • Crew: All four ejected safely; conditions stable per preliminary reports. • Aircraft: Both destroyed. • Public/Civilian Impact: None reported. No injuries to spectators or ground personnel. An investigation is underway by Naval and Air Force authorities to determine the cause of the collision. The incident remains under active review. End of Initial Incident Summary. My prayers and well wishes are with the aircrew, and all first responders on scene. @KickRocks2026 x.com/nicksortor/status/2056…
