He emphasized the imperative for African institutions to lead their own development initiatives. During the panel discussion, there was a resounding emphasis on the necessity of collaboration and institutional strengthening over individual strengthening.

More and more I see the estimator for panel data I proposed for staggered DiD with time constant covariates referred to as “a Mundlak” estimator. While this is technically a correct label, I think it makes it too mysterious.

Interesting article identifying the spatial drivers of land-based investments in Sub-Saharan Africa. Congrats to the authors!
