Warm reception from @timfarron, very engaged and thoughtful on actions to address sustainability challenges. It brought to mind that as our climate changes, no one should be left behind, we all have a role to play and we need to be equipped to do so. @earth_trust @LibDems
Nature is in crisis & the British public wants action⌛️ Today we handed our #Nature2030 letter to @timfarron @LibDems demanding 5 urgent actions to protect and restore nature by 2030🌳 We look forward to sharing this with further political parties 👇 wcl.org.uk/charities-meet-wi…

On way to meeting @timfarron with @WCL_News to talk nature, the 2030campaign. A legal right to a healthy environment for all will be a game changer. Do you agree? @earth_trust @friends_earth

Feeling sorry for myself, full of cold but enjoying common swifts in the #dubrovnick walls last week. A real treat!

Caught this today, perfect timing given my conversations this week. Really resonates. Well done @tomheapmedia @helenczerski

Also confidence and 'safety' as I've found. At a '23 conference talk, I overheard some participants suggesting that I'm imagining rural racism as country folk are so friendly: "They" just need to just get their boots on and get out. It's not hard". One 'small' example in many.
Barriers like socioeconomic status, cultural norms, and historical exclusion can make it difficult for some communities to engage in outdoor activities. Our groups aim to break down these barriers and make nature accessible to all. 🌿

It'd be a mistake to obsess about the number - it doesn't matter if it's exactly £28bn - but it'd be a calamity to drop the ambition. Major investment in nature & #netzero is vital for planet & prosperity. Hope @Keir_Starmer sets out clear plans today. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-6…

Lots of caveats, but this is a very big deal. The European Commission is proposing a 90 per cent cut in carbon emissions by 2040. Meanwhile, Lee Anderson is arguing coal is sustainable. businessgreen.com/news/41710…

Thanks to everyone retweeting and responding to this - it's incredibly useful and inspiring to know how and where these ideas are being taught in universities around the world. Please keep RTing and sharing! Many thx.
Profs and students! If you have ever taught, or been taught, Doughnut Economics as a core text as part of a university course, we'd love to hear about it - drop me a message here, thx! @DoughnutEcon @rethinkecon

After years of concrete measures to improve cycling—and discourage driving—cyclists now outnumber motorists on London’s streets. Since 1999, cycling has spiked 386% and driving fallen 64%; with cyclists representing 40% of surface traffic—including pedestrians—during peak hours.
