I asked Gov. Kemp why he endorsed against Rick Jackson after he told @jmart this is the year for an outsider? “I’m not doing this to be against Rick Jackson, I’m for Burt Jones….that was an hour-long interview and it was put in a 30-second commercial.”

When you have a liar like Rick Jackson, who took an hour long interview from Kemp at the Masters and sized it down to get a 30 second commercial touting a Kemp endorsement that never happened…that’s what you get. A Governor backing up his own Lt. Governor and stopping the lies. Additionally, I believe those who may view the Kemp endorsement in a negative light are overlooking the broader picture. Regardless of any policy or other disagreements one may have with an elected official or other leader, effective leadership requires the ability to work collaboratively with others. There has been meaningful legislation and significant accomplishments during this period that warrant recognition. An endorsement can carry substantial weight, as it signals that the endorsed candidate possesses the skills and relationships necessary to work productively with fellow elected officials. Burt Jones has served with distinction as Lieutenant Governor. He stands among the most conservative leaders under the Gold Dome and will make an outstanding Governor for the great state of Georgia.
