Truth, but ... The report isn't exactly wrong. The scouts just didn't have Brady's vision of how effective and robust a system could be. Before you disregard the experts, have a good idea of what they're missing.

Next time some “expert” says you just aren’t good enough, you don’t have what it takes... just take a look at @TomBrady’s scouting report. That FUD juice was his fuel.

Trump is at his best when his rantings have the ring of truth and plausible deniability. This is not his best.
Probably the only thing Barack Obama & I have in common is that we both had the honor of firing Jim Mattis, the world’s most overrated General. I asked for his letter of resignation, & felt great about it. His nickname was “Chaos”, which I didn’t like, & changed to “Mad Dog”...

Can't wait for my Confederate flag-waving neighbors to take down their Trump 2020 flag! That's the clear consequence of this, right? Right?!?
For the purpose of creating conflict and confusion, some in the Fake News Media are saying that it is the Governors decision to open up the states, not that of the President of the United States & the Federal Government. Let it be fully understood that this is incorrect....

Once this is all over I call for a replacement of all farm subsidies with a federal program to purchase a national stockpile of rice and beans. And hot sauce. We'll need hot sauce. Mandated quarantining would be easier to enforce if sustenance could be guaranteed and delivered.

Maybe pandemic preparedness will provide enough political will to push through the dethroning of King Corn.

All of this work on differentiable programming, supporting more complex cost functions, has got to have an impact on few shot learning in the long run.
Our contribution towards differentiable programming: O(n log n) differentiable sorting and ranking operators. Key techniques: projections onto permutahedra & isotonic optimization. Applications to top-k classification, label ranking, least trimmed squares. arxiv.org/abs/2002.08871

"In Iran, nearly 70 percent of university graduates in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) are women." Amazing. As a father of two little girls, I encourage all to take this piece to heart.
My recent opinion piece on #immigration and #WomenInSTEM in #TheHill. Leaders in our communities need to do more to create an environment for women, immigrants, and minorities to enter #STEM fields. thehill.com/changing-america…

Will some PAC please put together an ad that combines an audio montage of Trump's "I won't have time to golf" statements played over a photo montage of 60 or so shots of him golfing?
For the record, I spent 0 days on the golf course in 2019. cnn.com/2019/12/31/politics/…

Concise yet thorough history of the Confederate flag. History matters.
Thread: Nikki Haley said the Confederate Flag was a symbol of "service and sacrifice and heritage" I was born and raised in SC so I know a little about this. Here is the truth behind that statement:

People are misunderstanding this. He doesn't mention a relationship. He says we have a "shared cultural heritage." He's saying we're both Christian nations.

... That this nation, under Trump, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the land, by the land, maybe not for the land, shall not perish from the earth this year.

Amazing. Timely. Instructive. Now, when can I see the zoom split diopter shot of Trump on the phone with Zelenskyy and the entire WH counsel apparatus in the background rushing to clean everything up?
🚨 6-Minute Split Diopter Shot 🚨 DP Gordon Willis crafted this magical 6-minute continuous zoom split diopter shot. His camera team slowly pulled out the split diopter during the zoom so the split remained hidden directly over the column in the background. #filmmaking #wow

THREAD on a wacky problem that AI ethics theorists should be aware of. Consider a coin flip bet: Heads you get 1.5 times your current wealth. Tails you get 0.6. Should you take it? Expected value is 1/2*0.6 1/2*1.5 = 1.05 times your wealth. So take it right? Not quite...
